"Whew, alright. What an interesting start," Jimmy said as he tossed some recently-smelted iron into the chest and closed it.

"Yeah," Scar agreed, lounging back against their crafting table as he watched the sunset. He was pretty much his regular height, he was pretty sure. Might be an inch off, but he would go back to normal once the current wildcard effect wore off. He wondered what the next effect would be. They would apparently get more dangerous and extreme the more time they spent on this server. He was apprehensive but also excited for it.

Jimmy was still walking around with a noticeably larger size, apparently enjoying being taller. Scar never really thought of Jimmy as being particularly short, at least not compared to people like Grian or Bdubs, but it seemed Jimmy was just used to being around a lot of very tall people and wanted to try it for himself.

"Guess we should hide for the night," Scar said, standing up as it grew darker. "Should've gotten a little house or something ready but uh... I was having too much fun with the growing and shrinking."

"Me too, dang... here, grab some planks, let's make a quick little shack right here around our stuff," Jimmy suggested.

Scar agreed and they grabbed cherry planks out of the chest, working quickly to build a shelter. It wasn't much. Basically just a wooden box around them, a couple torches on the walls for light, with no windows or a door. But it would work. It would keep them safe.

"And no wool for a bed, since that wolf killed our sheep," Scar sighed, looking back in the chest. "Oh well. We'll find more sheep."

"I hope so." Jimmy was having to lean over to keep from hitting his head on the ceiling, his wings tucked close to his back. "Guess we're just sleeping on the ground tonight."

"Fine by me. I can sleep anywhere. Hey, have you seen Lizzie? She didn't come back up here with us."

"I think she ran off to spend the night with Joel," Jimmy replied. "I'm sure we'll see her in the morning."

"Oh, okay. So, stuck together all night." Scar smiled pleasantly at him. "I'm not actually that tired yet, so... any ideas for what we could do?"

"Hm. What could there possibly be for two men to do all night while stuck together in a box," Jimmy replied, tapping his chin. "Gosh, I honestly don't know."

"Ohh, I think you can come up with some ideas," Scar said, voice lowering.

Jimmy gave him a playful look, wings spreading a little wider. He crouched, letting himself shrink, then stopped when he was about his usual height, a few inches shorter than Scar. "Well... I might have a few," he lilted in a singsong voice. "I've heard you make... very nice company during these long, scary Life server nights."

"Mm," Scar chuckled, reaching out to him. Jimmy stepped closer and Scar ran the backs of his fingers lightly against the crest of bright yellow feathers over Jimmy's ear. "I can be very good company indeed. What else have you heard?"

"Well." Jimmy tilted his head into Scar's touch as Scar cupped Jimmy's cheek in his palm, thumb brushing gently back and forth against the corner of his mouth. A pleased peep escaped him and his wings fluttered. "I've heard you like to cuddle."

"Oh, I do! Very much. I love to cuddle." Scar leaned in. "Especially when my partner is just so worn out they couldn't possibly get away. They just gotta cuddle back until they fall asleep in my arms, hehe."

Jimmy's face flushed slightly. "And will you... wear me out, Mr. Goodtimes?"

"Well, since you asked so politely... I would be happy to." Scar tilted his head and brushed their lips together. Jimmy drew a quick breath and then pressed into it, holding Scar's cheek as he tilted his head the other way and opened his mouth. Scar's heart raced, heat spreading in a molten wave through his gut. Jimmy may have acted bashful, but he absolutely wasn't. His lips moved eagerly against Scar's, and when Scar licked into his mouth, Jimmy moaned softly for him and gripped Scar's coat.
