Chapter 4
The weeks passed really quickly until the day of the concert finally arrived. Me, Em and Louise had become really close within the past few weeks and we'd stuck by each other a lot if there was trouble at school. Louise had to leave pretty early on Saturday, well for me 10:00am is early. Me and Em went down for breakfast and we were already so excited, we could hardly eat anything!
The previous Saturday we had all gone out shopping to buy new clothes for the concert, we had been saving up for really nice outfits. We went into every shop in Westfeild, browsing and looking at everything we liked. At first we didn't buy anything, in case we saw something we preferred in another shop. Then we narrowed our choices down to four or five dresses we'd seen that we thought we really liked, tried them all on, took photos of each one to compare them and eventually we found the perfect dress, after 3 hours of searching. I guess you could say that Emily's dress, was actually a dark blue tee shirt and a blue and white striped, pleated, high waisted miniskirt combined with a chunky red belt and red alice band, with red 2 inch gorgeous heels. It was me who thought of the striped theme and Em totally agreed. My dress, on the other hand, was a high neck black and white striped minidress, accessorised with a thin gold belt, gold 2 inch heels and a gold flower clip for my hair. Emily told me that the gold in the belt matched my hazel eyes perfectly and the black of the dress was the same colour as my hair,
"Okay, my amazing fashion guru!" I calmed her down, she was getting worked up about the concert in the middle of the shops, slightly embarrassing, although I couldn't really contain my excitement much longer.
We took a photo in the full length mirror of our bedroom when we got back, and uploaded it to Facebook, thankfully all of the hate from Manchester had stopped since I moved away and I blocked all of the people from my old school so they couldn't contact me.
Gemma knew how important this concert was to us and understood we wanted to get ready in peace, so she went out to the movies with the younger ones to see some newly released film. She left us in the hands of Carrie, the social worker, I love Carrie she really knows what it's like to get ready for a big deal and she helped us as much as she could, getting us things when we needed them, and leaving us to it when we were sorting makeup and hair. We thought we'd go for a more natural look, to show our 'natural beauty'. I straightened Emily's waves in her hair, although some kept springing back, she didn't mind. Little did I know how amazing Em was with a curling wand. She was official my stylist, and I was hers. She made each curl on my dead straight hair turn out perfectly and then she brushed them slightly to turn then into beach waves, it was perfect with the dress. The concert started at 8pm, but we wanted to see them arrive so we left the house at 1 and arrived at the O2 by 2:30 ish, then we would be able to see the boys arrive and maybe get a photo or autograph before getting inside ready for when it started. On the way there in Carrie's car we couldn't contain our excitement! We were getting butterflies in our tummies just thinking about meeting our idols.
