Once they got to her house, she wouldn't stop talking about how she loves baking, that's her favorite thing to do, sometimes they would talk about their classes, and how she is struggling with hers, but then they would get to baking again.

Every few minutes of her talking, she would get nervous and apologize for too much talking about herself and baking.

She thought he hated her for that, for talking too much, but to him, the worst thing she did was stop talking and apologizing.

The next day, he talked with his roommate Igor about her.

"So, who is she, what does she like to do, are you two together right now?" He asked

"Well, her name is Luna, she is a foreigner. Or at least she was. See, her mother is from Germany where she was born and raised, but she moved to Russia several years ago to live with her father. She is super cute, she loves baking"

"Okay man none of that anymore, are you two together?"

"No, I don't think we are."

"Why? She has a boyfriend? Is she not looking for a relationship? Is she a lesbian?"

"No man, she said something about trying to find someone one day, but not trying to force it. She had some bad experiences when she was younger so she became pretty insecure of herself."

"That's bad man, so she has no interest in you?"

"Well, I don't think we are together, but she complimented me few times... I guess that counts to something?"

"What did she say? Come on man talk! Did she call you cute or pretty?"

"Now that I think about it, it was kind of funny, I told her that she looks pretty cute in the outfit she wore, and she started coughing on the cake, she said thanks and stopped talking, she just looked weirdly at me, as if she is trying to compliment me back but can't find what to say. So I told her, that she doesn't have to say anything back, but she said "It's not that, Its just that it sounds awkward but...you are pretty attractive" Then she started blushing and apologizing again. Man, I fell in love with her again, my last girlfriend never told me anything like that"

"Man, she likes you"

"You think so?"

"Yes man, she definitely loves you, just ask her"

"No, I can't do that, what if she doesn't like me?"

"Then you lose nothing, are you afraid of getting rejected?"

"I'm...I'm not, I'm afraid of ruining things with her, I'm not afraid she will say no, but that she will not want to be my friend anymore... I'm afraid she will think of me differently, and that next time I do something kindly to her, she will think I'm flirting and become distant..."

They stood there, silently, when someone knocked their door.

"Luna? How can I help you?" Alexander said

"I was finishing something in the city, and I remembered you forgot your glasses in my house so I brought them to you"

"Thanks, you didn't need to do that"

"No worries, I also wanted to ask you if you want to go out for a coffee?"

Alexander accepted immediately and they went outside together.

"So, is there something you wanted to talk to me about in particularly?" He asked

"Be careful, you are going to step on a snail" She said

"Oops! Almost crushed him, sorry..." He replied

"I love snails, do you love snails?" She asked

"Well, we have mutual respect to each other if it helps. Why do you love them?"

"I am not telling you" She said with a smile

"Come on, now you have to tell me"

So, after couple of "please" and "you must tell me now", she finally told him

"Well, my friends always call me slow, because I rarely understand their jokes, and I like to take things slowly. I'm totally fine in my head though. So, because of that I love snails, they like to take things slowly, just like me"

"I might need to rethink relationship I have with them now, maybe they are bit cooler than what I give them credit for"

After few more minutes of walking and laughing, they sat down. As they did, she told him how hilarious he is.

He thanked her for that, but then thanked her for all of the compliments he got from her, as he never had anyone outside of his family tell him any of that, not even his ex-girlfriend. To which she replied with confusion, she can't believe nobody told him any of simple things like how he is pretty or funny?

"Tell me more about your ex-girlfriend, what happened to her, why aren't you two together?"

"Its not an interesting story really, we just lost feelings for each other"

"Really? Is that all?"

Constantine was silent for a few seconds, then he looked Luna in the eyes and decided to tell her the truth, that he never told anyone except few of his friends once when he was drunk.
