With the day approaching, it was time for the squad to meet up with Nami and have fun on the beach. For our protagonist, he thought this was a good time to introduce him to his squadmates and he thought they were going to be good friends... oh boy was he absolutely wrong.
"And we're here!" Y/n said as he parked the car. "Nami should be here already, she texted me that she already found a spot on the beach for us." He got out of the car as did the others. "Help me get the bags would ya?"
"The Bronya is busy." She said while she was playing on her console.
"Right, Kiana- actually never mind." Y/n went back on his words as he grabbed his bag.
"Wha-?! The hell do you mean 'never mind'?!" Kiana stomped on the ground.
"Last time you held a bag it somehow got stuck on top of a tree." Y/n said before Mei took the rest of the bags and closed the trunk. "We're good?"
Mei nodded. "Yeah, I got the rest of the bags."
They began their destination towards the bright beach where people enjoyed their vacation or the scenery.
As they set their foot on the sand, Y/n began to search for the face of his friend while Kiana and Bronya were distracted.
"Mei! The sand is so warm and nice!" Kiana exclaimed as she got on her knees and touched the sand with her hands. "Look!"
"I see." Mei smiled before turning her attention to Bronya. "Bronya, shouldn't you enjoy this?"
"The Bronya is busy with beating the boss." Bronya said as all her focus was on the boss.
"Hm... Ah, there she is!" Y/n pointed before grabbing Bronya like she was a cat. "C'mon guys, I gotta introduce you guys to her."
The sound of sand dropping, the snap of a bag, and the crack of plastic were heard as they heard what Y/n just said. He turned around looking at his teammates. "Are you guys okay?"
"Ah, yes! We're fine." Mei smiled. "It's just that we feel a little frustrated for some odd reason."
Both Kiana and Bronya nodded in agreement to Mei.
"...Okay?" Y/n sweatdropped before they made their way to Nami who was sitting under shades with a blanket under her. She was looking out towards the glittering blue sea with a small smile.
"Hey Nami, we're here!" Y/n called out to her as they got closer.
Nami snapped out of her daze as she looked towards their way, finally seeing her friend and his squad. "Ah, h-hello!" She got up as she greeted them. "You guys must be Y/n's friends, nice to meet you guys!" She bowed down.
"Yes... Nice to meet you too."
"... Are you sure you guys are okay?" Y/n questioned them after seeing their expression suddenly turn dark. He turned back to Nami. "Sorry for them, they're just a bit... uh..."
"Unique?" Nami said.
"Yeah. Let's go with that." Y/n muttered before clearing his throat. "Alright! I'll set up the grill, you guys do... uh, girl stuff I guess." Y/n began to unpack and prepare the grill while the girls just continued to stare coldly towards Nami.
"Uh... Nice weather?" Sweat dripped down her forehead as she was still being stared at. "Guys? Is there anything on your mind?"
"Yes." Mei responded. "How did you meet Y/n? How long have you guys known each other? What do you know about him? Do you know where he stashes his secret stash-"
