Within the woods, Sonic, Ayumi, and Elsa were searching behind every tree and rock to search for Anna.

"Anything, Ayumi?" Sonic asked.

Ayumi, who was looking behind a rock, peeked up from behind it. "No," she said. "At this rate, we'll never find Anna!"

"We can't give up," Elsa said. "We have to find her!"

"She's right," Sonic agreed. "We have to find Anna before it's too late!"

Ayumi nodded and got back up on her feet, and followed Sonic and Elsa.

Later, as they went deeper and deeper into the woods, the search party began to feel weary, with Ayumi slumping over and falling to the ground.

"Ugh, my feet hurt!" she groaned.

"We have been walking for some time," Elsa said.

"And it's getting dark," Sonic added. "We should find a place to stay for the night."

"But where?" Elsa wondered.

Ayumi looked around and spotted something in the distance. "I see a place!" She pointed to where she was looking and took off ahead, with Sonic and Elsa following. After a few minutes, the trio arrived to where Ayumi was pointing towards, which was a large castle.

"We can stay here for the night!" Ayumi said.

"You sure?" Sonic asked. "Looks kinda creepy..."

"But it's shelter," Elsa said. She pushed the large door inwards, opening it. As it opened, it made a loud creaking sound. "Hopefully no one's home."

The three entered the castle, unaware of a shadowy figure standing on one of the conical roofs of the castle. Inside, Sonic, Ayumi, and Elsa were looking around the pitch black hallways.

"Sure is dark in here," Ayumi said.

"Just be careful," Sonic said.

As they continued to walk, they heard a high pitched screeching sound, making them jump.

"What was that?!" Ayumi asked.

"Probably just a mouse," Elsa said.

They kept walking for a bit, then they heard the screeching again.

"There it is again!" Ayumi exclaimed.

Then, more high pitched screeching was heard, and this time, it sounded like several screeches, as if a large swarm of creatures had gathered. Suddenly, a swarm of bats surrounded them.

"EEEEK!" Ayumi shrieked. "Get away!"

They all began swatting at the bats like flies, but more continued to surround and swarm them. Suddenly, a voice rang out.

"Well now, what have we here?"

The bats stopped swarming the trio. They looked up and saw a woman hovering downwards. She had pale skin with wavy gray hair that draped over her shoulders, and only her left eye was open . She wore a white blouse, a long gray skirt, and gray slippers. She also had long pointy ears, black batlike wings, and black claws.

"Hmm, this is unexpected. A group of mortals has stumbled upon this castle," the woman said. "You know, it's quite rude to enter someone's house without knocking."

Ayumi gulped. "S-sorry, we had no idea there were people living here."

The woman sighed. "No matter. What brings you here to my humble abode?"

"Well, me and my friends need a place to stay for the night," Elsa said.

"Really now?" the woman asked. The group nodded. "Very well then. I shall allow you to stay. You lot seem to have been traveling for a long time." She then snapped her claws. "Bats, prepare a room for them."

The swarm of bats gathered and flew upstairs. "My bats will prepare a room for you three. Make yourselves comfortable."

"Oh, thank you, Miss, uh....," Ayumi said.

"Blanche. Blanche von Ravenwood."

"Well thank you, Miss Blanche," Elsa said as she bowed.

"It's no problem," Blanche said.

Sonic, Ayumi, and Elsa followed the bats upstairs. In room, which was large with 3 King sized beds with dark red velvet blankets.

"Nice digs," Sonic said. "Creepy, but nice."

"And these beds are comfortable too," Ayumi said as she got in one of the beds.

"So...," Sonic began to speak, yawning. "First thing in the morning, we'll keep going..."

"Ok," Ayumi yawned as she went to sleep. "Good night, guys."

"Goodnight."

With that, they all went to sleep.

___

The next morning, they were at a large dining table eating breakfast.

"These pancakes are good!" Sonic said.

"I'm glad you like it," Blanche said. "I do want to ask you: what were you lot doing out there?"

"Well, you see, my sister Anna ran away," Elsa explained. "So me and my friends are searching for her."

"I see..." Blanche sat back in her chair. "Well, you best be careful. It can be quite dangerous."

"We will," Ayumi said.

___

Later, Elsa, Sonic, and Ayumi were leaving the castle.

"Goodbye, Miss Blanche!" Ayumi said, waving goodbye as she left.

"Farewell!" Blanche said.

Once they were gone, Blanche closed the door. "I sense a dangerous power in the air....This could be serious. I must warn them..."
