Hello~

Hope everyone's doing well. I wasn't really sure whether to publish this or not, but I found some free time and felt I could share some background to the story. So, pardon my random musings and ramblings, but I do hope you can give me one more chance as you did with the story. •ᴗ•

First off, these had been posted elsewhere but I thought it might be a good idea to include here as well. If you came from TikTok, you'd seen these already.

I'd always wanted readers to freely imagine what the characters look like, so I wasn't really fond of using character portrayers. Though in this case, the story was heavily inspired by EXO members — Chanyeol and Baekhyun. Sila talaga 'yung on top of my mind, when I was writing the story. But as mentioned, I very much prefer to leave everything to the reader's imagination so feel free to ignore these pubmats I posted solely for promotion purposes. Haha!

Anyway, back to story...

General idea came to me way back in college... Naisip ko siyang plot for the screenplay I was planning to write for our Film Production class. But unsurprisingly, I didn't push through with it because of two main reasons. First, I hadn't come out yet and hadn't accepted who I truly am at the time. Well, more like pinaghalong confused/afraid at in denial out of fear of public disapproval and of course, rejection from family and friends. Typical, closeted gay teenage dilemma you could say...

Second, because I was a devout church body back then. Like Blaine, I was born in a strictly religious family. My maternal relatives were, actually still are, members of a traditional Christian congregation — as in super old school. Hindi sila fan ng mga bagay na 'sanlibutan'. Tapos, merong dress code na sinusunod. Sample, women are only allowed to wear below the knee skirts and are never allowed to wear pants or shorts. Then the hair? They must always go beyond shoulder length, any hairstyle shorter than that are not allowed. For men, haircut should be clean and facial hair is not allowed. Bawal din ang shorts. Then for both, sleeveless is a Big NO. Kasi showing too much skin is makasalanan at mapupunta ka sa impiyerno... So there... It gets heavier as you dive into it, so better not. Hindi niyo deserve ang ganung stress. Lmao.
