Trees shuffle their leaves, tipped by daylight's charm. Birds chirp serenely, wings flapping above clouds. The wind blew, along with leaves around poles of the school building. It was just another classic day for 15 year old Abyss as he sits alone again atop a bench at lunch.

He looks down, chopsticks digging under chunks of rice. The wind passes by, twirling his ponytail as last-night rain droplets slither down the mossy ceiling. Humble smells of after-rain earth linger around, joining hot tempura and blooming daisies.

"Abyss?" A sharp voice slices through his wandering thoughts. Abel steps closer, eyes wandering cautiously, as if expecting Abyss's friend or someone he usually ate with.

"I eat alone... " Abyss informs plainly, mood damp as ever. He combs the back of his ponytail, with sleepy eyes back on his warm meal.

"What do you want?" He scoffs moodily, expecting Abel to ruin his peaceful lunch with demands or new assignments.

"Confirm your understanding of our meeting two days ago" Abel answers firmly, unaffected by Abyss's moody sleep deprivation as he sits beside, unwrapping his leaf-wrapped bread.

Thoughts ran through Abyss's mind as his heart halts a beat. What the Heck????

"I already understood." Abyss nods, his eyes rolling bombastically at Abel's food. Why is it burnt?

"M-kay." Abel muffles, crumbs of black bread in his mouth. Abyss looks at him with a questioning glare. "Anything else?"

"No"

Silence linger around once more, with distant footsteps of squirrels and dripping raindrops above the roof. Abyss takes a big chunk of his rice, munching it quietly as his chopsticks stab another fried tempura. Beads of rice scatter in his mouth, suffocating his cheeks and grinding teeth. Plainness melts on his tongue, despite the sour tempura. His mind races once more, questioning Abel's presence and his not-so-good-looking bread. He took a glance at him, mouth full of crumbs, shady sharp eyes, two lines on his left cheek, neat ha-

Abel raises an eyebrow, a thud slaps Abyss's face. OH CRAP! Abyss looks down, shoving another bunch of rice while gazing around the forest as his mind complains bitterly, attempting to mask a calm face.

Abel stops, he swallows his bread as he wraps it with leaves. Securing it with one last leaf fold, he stood up.

A thud hits Abyss's heart, oddly painful. "Wait!"

Abel raises his eyebrow. "What?"

Abyss bites his lips, fingers tighter around his lunchbox. "W-where arr-re you going?"

"Getting some tea" He informs calmly, shoving his bread atop the bench as he turns back, walking away.

Squirrels chatter above trees, shuffling branches along with cuddling bunnies. Butterflies flew around, looping through bushes and flowers. Their wings flap around quickly, but not as quick as the butterflies in his throat. Abyss pokes another chunk of rice, sweat slithering down under his left ear.

His hair looks so neat... He thought, mouth munching rice. He also seems chill... He blinks, swallowing his food. Maybe he uses pantene sham-

KREEEENGG!! The bell drills loudly, an end to his extraordinary lunch. Behind, Abel swallows his tea hurriedly, droplets landing on his cloak as he grabs his bread. Abyss closes his lunchbox, shoving the chopsticks beside.

He looks back, time stopped. Abel glares at him, something under his pupils. His heartbeat froze, still as his body. Despite the hurried chatters and footsteps.

Abyss pushes his thoughts aside, trailing Abel's quick footsteps into their class. He swipes a few crumbs of his cheek as the lesson starts, back to his normal boring daily life.

Maybe Abel's not so bad anyways...
