The roots of the family.

"Indy a-as in your s-ister" I say stuttering a lot. Me and Indy were very close but as close as me and Archie are but we were still close "its  probably just a fever" I try and make an excuse to calm myself down "Abi... she has cancer" I gasp not knowing what to do "no. no." Archie trys to grab my wrist but I dont let him "NO!" I shout "s-she cant" i sit down on my bed cradling my head "Abi its ok, the doctors are helping her" Archie attemps to calm me down but i'm still shaking "Archie leave." Is all I say and he leaves.

I try to pull myself together and clean my makeup but all I could think about was Indy until there was a knock on my bedroom door "Abi" I forgot I had eliza get my mum "Coming" I get up off my desk chair and head for the door "sweetheart its time for the ball" Fuck, I completely forgot about the ball. My mother guides me to my bed "My dear, have you been crying?" She pushes a piece of hair around my ear. I dont answer her question all I do is sit there in the silence waiting for the bell to start off the night "the Festa bell rings soon and i'm sure Mr Liam wont want to marry you looking like this"

she takes my hand and guides me to my bathroom "which colour?" She asks me, pointing at the eye shadow palate "green it goes with my dress" I say looking at my light green dress with white lacing on the top of the skirt "wheres your ring?" I ask my mother noticing that the ring my dad purposed with isnt on her hand "I took it off for today, soon as your the one getting a ring tonight" she lies and we both know it "oh ok" I put a weak smile on my face as my mother paints the green powder atop of my eye lid " Gorgeous." is the last thing my mothers says before the festa bell goes "Fly away my little bird"
