Nine swung their legs over the back of the couch, laying backwards on it as the news channel rambled on about some disease. They were bored out of their mind, hardly able to listen to the TV. Nobody wanted to hang out anymore..

As Nine absentmindedly scratched at the scrape on their cheek, it took her several seconds to register that her front door was being unlocked and opened. Once they noticed, Nine sat up, watching as Six walked in. "Six! My man!!" Nine perked up immediately. "What's in the mix, Six?" They chimed, earning a scoff from Six.

"Would you quit rhyming? You sound like a variable trying to act like a zero." Six shut and locked the door before walking over to Nine. "What's wrong with a little rhyme? Just passing some time, not spending a dime!" Nine grinned, knowing exactly what she was doing. Six rolled his eyes in response.

"You're so lame." Six sat down next to Nine, tuning into the TV. "Scientists have named this rapidly spreading disease 'Zoonotic Rot,' or 'ZR-24' for short. Numbers of reported cases have been skyrocketing around the world. Currently, there is still no cure in sight." The news reporter read off a script, a hint of panic in her voice. "Ugh, people seriously believe this? Zootonic Rot, you're joking! Sounds like some horror game virus... " Six chuckled, nudging Nine.

"I dunno, brah... I saw some pretty gnarly things just a few weeks ago... Two- You remember Two, right?" Nine frowned, turning to face Six fully. "Uhh.... No, not really. What happened with Two?" Six replied, not looking away from the TV. Nine grabbed the remote and turned the screen off, forcing Six to pay attention to his words. "Two was all stretched and creepy, violent too, man! Just like a zombie! Got me good, right here." Nine pointed to the thin scratch on her cheek.

"'Got me good!' And you show me a little cat scratch

"'Got me good!' And you show me a little cat scratch. Stop being so dramatic.... But- You're telling me you saw Two as a zombie? Surely you see why I find this all hard to believe. Plus, how many times have you lied to me just to see what you could get me to believe?" Six crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow at Nine.

"I'm for serious this time, dude! Five saw too; they'll tell you!" Nine raised their voice a little, getting slightly frustrated. Why was Six being so stubborn!? "Five's so paranoid that they'll believe any conspiracy theory! Just drop it!" Six raised his voice too, Nine's tone beginning to anger him.

"Why did you come over, anyway? You're obviously not worried about me getting infected." Nine narrowed their eyes. Six sat up straighter, getting a little defensive. "Ok, don't read into this. I don't care about you like that, I'm just bored, and you don't try to lecture me like everyone else." He scowled slightly.

"Whatever dude, if you wanna be a hater, you can consider yourself a traitor. So do me a favor and come back later." Nine turned toward the TV again, clearly annoyed. Six was silent for a moment, a confused, almost offended look on his face. "Did you just kick me out in a rhyme..?

"Yes. Get out."

"Fine, fuck you too!"
