Sorcha didn't know what to think.
All she knew was that Will was almost crushed by a tree limb.
He was alive. That was lucky. It could have killed him. But it didn't.
Thank the stars for that Sorcha thought silently. She was standing in the woods, near her house.
Night time was coming, but she didn't care.
Trip and Craig were going to the hospital to see Will. Sorcha promised to see Will at another time. She was still freaked out.
Which is why she was in the woods. Sorcha watched as the sun went down. She closed her eyes whispering a chant. she did not want anyone to disturb her. Not now. This was important. Not even her Aunt knew what she was doing.
Neither did she, but she knew she had to try.
She had done it before, with her Aunt right next to her.
But she did not want her Aunt to witness what was about to go down.
Soon Sorcha was covered in darkness.
"You have summoned me." A voice called out.
Sorcha turned to see a tall figure in the dark. The figure was always in a hooded cloak; her face never showing.
"Hello. I have summoned ye for answers." Sorcha replied. The figure chuckled.
"What is that ye seek?" the figure asked.
"What happened today when the tree branch fell?" Sorcha asked. The figure let out small laughter.
"Tis, my Mistress. She is the one who controls all, dear Radiant Sky. She did not like that Radiant Sky was being mistreated. The boy was punished. But Radiant Sky did not want boy dead, so Mistress did not kill him." The figure spoke.
"Your Mistress? What am I to her?" Sorcha asked.
"Radiant Sky does not know?" The figure asked very surprised. Sorcha shook her head no.
"Radiant Sky, must be told. It must be known."
"What do you mean?"
"Radiant Sky, do ye know who you really are? What you have been gifted with? What you posses? Your fate, you do not know?"
"Yes."
"Radiant Sky, you must know. My Mistress made clear, that she wished for you to know before the age of seventeen. Your Aunt has been keeping many secrets..." The figure said as she glided over to Sorcha and walked around her in a circle.
"Radiant Sky, you hate the human world. You are alone. You are an outsider, even amongst your friends. Do you wish for somewhere you belong?" The figure asked. Sorcha stood still. What was going on? She didn't know, but yes....she did want a place of her own.
"Do you wish for love? You yearn for an equal....you yearn for that boy. You wish to be his desire, tis why my Mistress did not kill him. She wanted him alive...for you. But that is all wasted...he doesn't not return your feelings. Poor Radiant Sky....you wish for something that cannot be obtained." the figure said sadly. Sorcha was sad. Everything was true.
"But, I can take you away from here, to a place that you belong. Dont you want that? Is that what you desire the most?" The figure asked.
"Yes." Sorcha whispered. When the figure was walking, Sorcha was shown her desires and her reality. Will's words hurt.
"Then come with me. Let me take you to my Mistress. She promises these things." The figure said, standing in front of Sorcha. Sorcha was tempted. She so wanted to say yes. But something told her no, and strangely enough it was the voice of Will.....
