kisses fluttered my stomach. a five o'clock shadow rubbed slightly against my skin, leaving a feeling of blissful irritation. I looked at the clock on the night stand and signed hesitantly knowing it would break him from the habit he had just created.

"what's wrong?" he asked with a worried tone.

"look at the time," I commanded him. he groaned against my hip before leaning up and grabbing his phone from the the foot of the bed.

"we've gotta leave in an hour and a half," he sighed.

I crawled out of his bed and pulled Corey's old grey button up from the floor over my head. I waddled out of the room and down the stairs to start cooking breakfast.

I pulled the egg carton from the fridge and replayed everything from last night. getting home, the kiss, the sleepless night, and now waking up in his bed. it was insane.

suddenly Corey pressed his body against mine. he towered over me as always and I new instantly his task was to interrupt me from cooking.

his hand slid under my shirt and fixed itself on my stomach. his palm took up most of the room on its own causing his fingers to go everywhere and curl onto the curve of my body.

"yes?" I asked hazily.

"I need you," he groaned against the curve of my neck.

I continue cooking, as he pecked at my neck, and smirked as he grew annoyed at me not stopping.

"ariane," he growled, "can you stop for a moment please?"

"what for Corey? so we can repeat last night and I can listen to you call it a mistake? we've done it all before."

"and when did I say last night was a mistake? I know what I did. and I meant it to!"

he roughly turned me to face him. his fingers wrapped tightly around my wrists and pressed them against the cabinets above me. he reached down to the stove to turn it off then lifted me onto the counter beside us. our lips pressed together but he pulled back before I could enjoy it.

"trust me when I say this, I need you Ariane Lane, more than you will ever believe. damn I need you." he whispered in a honeyed tone.

"we need to get dressed," I explained before jumping off the counter and pushing him out of the way.

he watched me walk away and I heard him slam his hand on the counter when I exited the room.

forty minutes later we both walked out the door. a black pair of Nike joggers hugged his legs and a hoodie hung loosely on his torso. I almost matched in black leggings and a long sleeve shaw jersey shirt.

we got into my jeep and started towards the United center. his hand rested  softly on my leg as he rubbed lazy circles on my thigh with his thumb.

"are you excited for the recital tonight?" he asked in attempt to make small talk.

"I mean yeah. I'm excited. it's going to be a good show." I replied.

he kept rubbing his thumb back and forth shooting pain through the bruise mark that was there, the one he knew was there.

we got to the rink and both climbed out of the jeep. being the only ones in the elevator caused a kiss that shouldn't have happened and words that shouldn't have been said.

finally we reached the team and instantly I was at Andrew's side. he pulled me into a bear hug while continuing the conversation he was having with Kane, who couldn't keep his eyes off of me.

"hey mutt," I mumbled. he looked down at the purple finger prints on my wrists.

"what are those?" he asked.

"oh um nothing you should be concerned about. I'm sure Corey will be bragging about it later."

"ooh. that's what those are," he realized, "gotcha!"

Patrick's smile dropped and his hands balled up into fists. I reached over and lightly pressed my finger tips to his bicep and let them trickle down to his hand. he wrapped his hand around mine and dragged me out of the room and down to the locker room.

we walked in and he pushed me against the wall. our lips began to touch but didn't quite make it so we helpless stared into each others eyes. both of us begging for the kiss but refusing to leave the others gaze.

his electric blue eyes sparkled even in the dark. I could feel Pat's hands drifting down the small of my back.

"you are so beautiful and even that is an understatement."  he growled into my body.

"pat-"

"shh just don't say anything," he whispered.
