The bright lights of the amusement park dazzled around them as James and Taesoo walked through the entrance. The sound of music, laughter, and the whirring of rides filling the air around them.

The scent of popcorn, cotton candy, and fried food mingled with the evening breeze. It was the kind of place that felt full of life—chaotic and exciting, but in a fun, carefree way.

"I still can't believe you talked me into this," Taesoo said, glancing at James as they strolled past the neon signs and flashing lights.

The soft glow of the park made James's features seem almost ethereal, his expression calm but his eyes filled with genuine excitement.

James shot him a sideways grin. "Come on, you've been to an arcade a million times. This is different. You can't be scared of roller coasters."

Taesoo raised an eyebrow, mock offense in his voice. "Scared? Me? I'm not scared. I just don't like the idea of—"

Before he could finish, James grabbed his wrist and led him toward the giant, looming roller coaster in the distance. "That's the one. We're starting there."

"Wait, wait, James, hold on—" Taesoo protested, but James was already pulling him toward the line, grinning like a maniac.

Taesoo followed along, more out of curiosity than anything else. The ride was towering and twisting, the metal tracks gleaming in the dimming light. He had to admit, the sight of it was intimidating, but the challenge was tempting.

As they reached the front of the line, Taesoo gave James an incredulous look. "You really like this stuff, huh? Going upside down and all that?"

"Yeah," James replied with an almost smug look. "It's the thrill. You should try it too."

The ride attendant waved them through, and soon they were strapped into the seats. Taesoo felt the nervous energy bubble up inside him as the roller coaster started climbing, slowly but steadily.

James, however, seemed completely relaxed—his eyes closed, a small smile on his lips as they ascended toward the highest point.

"You good?" Taesoo asked, turning toward James, half amused and half nervous.

James opened his eyes, glancing at him. "Yeah. I'm good. You're fine too. Just let go."

Taesoo swallowed, his grip tightening on the safety bar. "Easy for you to say."

Before he could say anything else, the ride dropped, sending them plummeting down the first steep hill. The wind rushed by, the world spinning as they shot through loops and sharp turns.

James shouted out in pure adrenaline, laughing despite himself as the rush of the ride overtook him. Beside him, Taesoo's laughter was the only thing louder than the wind, and in that moment, James realized that, for once, he wasn't just running from something—he was letting himself be fully present.

By the time they got off, Taesoo was breathless, his heart pounding in his chest. "Okay... okay, that was actually pretty amazing," he admitted, wiping the beads of sweat from his forehead.

James grinned, clearly enjoying the satisfaction of getting Taesoo to enjoy himself. "Told you."

They moved on to the next ride, then the next, hopping from roller coasters to spinning teacups, to the Ferris wheel and everything in between.

They both feeling hungry from all the rides and all the screaming they did, especially James. They decided to visit the food stalls. There were many food stalls with various kinds of treats.
