Hey, to everyone who hasn't read my announcement.
So Caitlyn's mom is dead. Yep. Which means I'm gonna have to change some things about my arcane fan fic. It's gonna introduce some new character arcs, but a whole lot more problems too for both me and the story. But I think I've found a way. Now, the usual fanfic writer probably wouldn't change their story after something becomes canon, but since I have mild ocd and am extremely autistic (I'm exaggerating, I don't have these mental conditions. I think) I'm gonna have to change some parts, which is gonna delay the next chapter that has already been delayed because of my studies.
In case y'all haven't realized, I really wanna remain true to the source material as much as possible. Why? Because it'll feel like an unscratchable itch if I don't.
The original direction of the story won't change much, and hopefully, most of the chapters won't change either, however, I will definitely have to change the dynamic between Caitlyn and Jinx. After some thinking, I have a rough idea how.
Which means I'll have to redo/edit a lot of the old chapters. Now, the edits won't alter the arcs I've already written (The warehouse arc, the date arc, etc), but will definitely change the mood and dialogues during scenes with Caitlyn and Jinx.
Now, this will definitely delay chapter 14 a lot longer than I planned. Now adding my university classes with redoing some chapters, chapter 14 is gonna take a while. A long while.
And I'm really sorry to everyone who was looking forward to chapter 14.
I'm really sorry for this. But it must be done.
I don't know when I'll be able to upload chapter 14. But I'll try to upload in December, hopefully Christmas or new years. If I'm not able to upload, I'll make sure to update y'all.
