"Rooh, don't make me ask again," Parikshit demanded, his voice low and urgent, laced with a hint of desperation.
"What's behind these red marks on your wrist?" His eyes bore into hers, searching for answers, but Rooh's gaze faltered, her eyelids trembling as tears welled up.
She tried to leave, but Parikshit blocked her way, his broad frame looming over her, his arms spread wide, trapping her."You can't ignore me, Rooh," he pressed on, his tone softening, pleading.
"Tell me why these marks, why these tears?" His voice cracked, betraying his frustration and concern. Rooh's gaze met his, her eyes brimming with pain, her face etched with anguish. She wiped her tears, but they kept falling, like a relentless rain, streaming down her cheeks, and Parikshit's heart twisted in agony.
"Let them fall...your small eyes can't hold this heavy thing for long," he whispered, his hand reaching for her shoulder, his touch gentle, comforting.
"Just tell me what happened. Who did this and why?" His words hung in the air, heavy with emotion, as he awaited her response. But Rooh recoiled, her voice trembling, her words laced with venom.
"You're the reason, Mr. Parikshit Oberoi." Her eyes flashed with anger, and Parikshit's face darkened, his brow furrowed in confusion.
"Me?" he repeated, his tone incredulous, laced with defensiveness. But Rooh's expression remained unyielding.
"Yes, you!" she spat, her voice rising.
"No one ever questioned me, but you made everyone believe I'm like a bar girl. You're the reason he raised his hands on me!" Her words cut through Parikshit like a dagger, each syllable piercing his soul.
She slapped him, the sound echoing through the air, leaving a stinging sensation on his cheek. Parikshit's anger boiled over, but beneath it, a spark of concern flickered to life. Who had hurt, Rooh? And how could he make it right? The thought sent a shiver down his spine. As he stood there, frozen, Rooh's tears continued to fall, each drop a testament to her pain, and Parikshit felt his heart shattering into a million pieces. He had never meant to hurt her, never intended to cause her such anguish. The realization hit him like a ton of bricks, leaving him breathless."Rooh, tell me who the hell raised hands on you!" Parikshit thundered, his anger boiling over. He grasped her shoulder tightly, pulling her closer. Rooh struggled, her body trembling as she cried.
"Let me go!" she pleaded, her voice choked.
"Not until you tell me," Parikshit insisted, his grip unyielding. Rooh's tears fell like torrential rain, streaming down her face. Her shoulders shook, and her body convulsed.
"P-apa," she stammered, the word barely audible. Parikshit's face contorted in shock and rage. "Your father?" he growled, his voice low and menacing. Rooh nodded, her eyes welling up with fresh tears. Parikshit's grip loosened, and he pulled her into a tight embrace.
