Chapter 3

They run off stage, handing their earpiece and mics to the stage hand. "Let's go! That's what I'm talking about!" Mel claps as they run backstage to the dressing rooms. "That was incredible!" Malia high fives Kylie as they reach the dressing room before they take off their gloves.

"Whoa, girl! What happened to your nails?" Malia looks at Kylie's hands. "Oh, they came off. I'm gonna get a new set soon." Malia shrugs. "Ok, oh! We can get it done together if you want?" Kylie hesitates for a second. "Um, i told Ruby I'd get a matching set with her." Malia nods. "Oh ok, maybe i can get it done with Morgan then." "Malia!" They both turn to see Josh calling her. "Oh gotta go, I'll find you later?" She asks. Kylie nods. "Yeah. Totally." Malia goes over to Josh as Kylie tries to find Ruby. It can't be that hard to find a big pink dress. She finds her already in the dressing room, wig off, and talking to Morgan. "Hey guys!" She smiles at them. "Hey! I can't wait for the rest of this tour! It's barely started and it's already been amazing! I'm gonna miss everyone when it ends." Morgan frowns.

"Stop, I don't even want to think about that." Ruby shakes her head. "Me neither." Kylie frowns. "Oh! I told Tristan I'd text him after our performance! I'll catch you guys later!" Morgan grabs her phone and leaves. "Can we talk? And i mean really talk this time?" Kylie sighs. Ruby nods. "Yeah, give me a second." Ruby stands and closes the door. "Ok, shoot." Kylie leans against her make up table. "Look, everything just happened out of nowhere and it just, it happened so fast." Ruby nods. "Yeah, it just....it just happened so fast. We were just so caught up in each other." Kylie bites her lip. "Yeah, but it won't happen again. And we can just acknowledge it and move on. I mean, it was fun!" Ruby nods. "It was, it was really fun." She laughs. "Yeah, and it was, don't get me wrong, it felt...." Kylie sighs. "I know." Ruby blushes as she looks down.

"But Rube, I can't lose you. You're my best friend. I don't know what I'd do without you. I think I'd die if i lost you." Ruby walks up and rubs her arms. "You're not losing me. I promise. Nothing between us has to change." Ruby smiles at her. Kylie smiles. "Thanks Rube. I love you." She hugs her tight. "I love you too Ky." Mel opens the door. "Girls we gott- are you fucking kidding me?" She scoffs. "Nothing's going on, i promise." Kylie tells her. She glances between the two of them as Ruby looks at the ground. "Mhmm alright, well hurry up so we can all head back to the hotel." They both nod. "Yeah, let me just change first." Ruby goes back to taking off her Bridget outfit. "I'm gonna go and find Malia." Kylie leaves them alone. "Do not tea- Ky! Kylie!" Mel groans. "Rube." "Yes?" "Please control your girlfriend." Ruby sighs. "She's not my girlfriend." She goes back to taking off her shoes. "Ruby?" "Yes Mel?" She leans against the wall beside her and raises her eyebrows. Ruby sighs. "I'm in trouble, aren't i?" She asks. "No, not you. But your heart maybe, it's not easy being in love with your best friend." Mel smirks. "I'm not in love with Kylie." Ruby shakes her head. "Not yet, maybe. But if you guys keep this up, you will be. Or vise versa. I just don't want either of you getting hurt. I don't want this to become one big hot mess." Ruby pauses as she takes off her shirt. Can she see herself with Kylie like that? Does Kylie?

"It won't." Ruby shrugs. "Mhm, just do me a favor and don't bring anyone else into this mess of yours. Whatever is going on between you and Ky, keep it between you and Ky. I don't want anyone caught in the middle." Ruby stares at her. "What do you mean?" "I mean, having friends with benefits is fun until it isn't." "How did you-?" "Girl, i know everything. The point is, it's all fun and games until it isn't and then someone gets hurt. And I don't want either of you getting hurt." Ruby nods and hugs her. "Thanks Mel. Don't worry, we already talked. Nothing's gonna happen again." Mel sighs. "For your sake, i hope you're right. I do not need you two falling for each other. Now finish changing and we'll head back to the hotel, we head out tomorrow morning." Ruby sighs as Mel leaves. "No way. No." She's not gonna fall for her best friend. If she was gonna do that, she would have by now. They've known each other for ten years, nothing changed. Except, everything's changed.

They finally reach the hotel as everyone drags themselves to their rooms. Ruby unlocks the door as Kylie trudges her body and collapses on Ruby's bed. "That's my bed." Kylie mumbles something into the pillow. "What?" Ruby laughs. Kylie turns her head. "I'm so fucking tired." Ruby smiles and shakes her head. "Long day?" "Yes." "Need a massage?" "Yes." They used to always give each other massages when the other was stressed or after a long day during sleepover, usually just relieve stress to sleep better. They change into the pj's and Kylie sits on the end of the bed. Ruby gets on her knees and starts rubbing and squeezing Kylie's shoulders. "Jesus Ky. Your knots have knots." Ruby mumbles. Kylie leans her head forward as Ruby keeps massaging her shoulders. She squeezes a certain spot that causes Kylie to moan. They both freeze, neither dared to move until Ruby kept slowly massaging her again. Kylie sighs as tension fills the air and her body again. "Ky, relax." "Kinda hard to do that with your hands on me." Ruby stops and stares at her. Kylie turns her body and stares back. "God fucking damn it." Kylie throws herself at Ruby as their lips crash and hands roam.
