Vaeludar didn't know why he, the siren, and four warriors had to travel back to the tavern of which they escaped. Both the hybrid and the barman, who happened to be the tavern's owner, were left displeased to be under the same roof with the siren.
But to enlighten the mood, four of the most legendary fighters sat with the hybrid and siren in the same lobby at a table. No food or drink was present, but only a talk of four fighters and two inhuman creatures sat at a circled table with six seats. The leader of the warriors, Geraldus, was the oldest in his fifties at the age of fifty-five with the other two men about two decades younger than him and the only girl being the youngest of age sixteen, the old into adulthood.
They all stood silent as Geraldus only introduced himself to Marian as she also remained silent from the others. She held her head high, but she was afraid of the others nearby: the maidens and the tavern owner.
But they wouldn't attack their leader, also known as a duke to the common people, on sight. They were told to keep their distance from the four knights and the two other mortals.
Vaeludar was the first to break the silence to introduce the comrades to Marina.
"This is the order I was raised by. These people are the Pangaean Knights. The last descendants of the old Pangaeans of the old country called Pangaea whose powers have been reborn into bloodlines formed from the Pangaeans mating with humans.
"The girl is Sora; she's the Knight of Charity. She is an older sister of Andrei and first daughter of Geraldus. She is roughly younger than me, but by nine months I am seventeen years of age."
Sora was an elegant woman of a young girl's youth and right into her sixteenth year. Her cheeks were smooth like a smoothing river that glittered with her hair, and her skin tone was a deep brown and blueness and some bearing resemblance to the hybrid's face.
"This is her father," the hybrid resumed. He got up and walked behind the man who was the leader of the village capital, the father of Sora and Andrei, and the foster father of Vaeludar. "Geraldus is the leader of the Pangaean Knights and my foster father and the Knight of Loyalty."
Geraldus had grey hair with a beard to his face, and his face was a broadened face like a wide beer mug. He was splitting old while retaining a young youthful gaze at the same time with no wrinkles. Grey eyes wildered with his hair color. The weapon he carried was a single sword.
Then Vaeludar moved to another knight sitting next to Geraldus. In his thirties and small for his size, the warrior looked with a big grin on his thin face. Pale autumn hair was over his head, and his arms were slenderly small with small signs of brute muscle with skin of dark tanned, reddish brown. His eyes were of a purple scale. His weapon remained a spear with a long spearhead.
"The rather smallest, skinniest is Monico: the Knight of Trust." Monico didn't seem to be bothered to be called the smallest of the group as Vaeludar moved to the tallest member of the team.
"And the last knight is rather the tallest with the brute muscle: Teutates.; he is the Knight of Strength."
Teutates bowed his head to the siren. Light brown hair combed around the back of his head and his board face with chestnut color in his eyes. His arms were a complex skin color of a very dark brown color. The staff of the weapon was a halberd leaning against the table's edge.
"These are the people I was raised by," said Vaeludar. He went back around the table and passed his spot to stand behind Marina.
Marina kept quiet as she saw four eyes just staring at her.
"And everyone, this is Marina. She says to me she is the runt of the siren species and has left to find a new home elsewhere."
Now Marina felt herself embarrassed as to the hybrid saying her name and business in front of everyone and didn't know how to respond back. She could only try to hide her face like a child behind her mother.
