ms choi clears her throat, as she gazes sharply at the boy who was looking at the whiteboard blankly.
ms choi's voice goes unnoticed by ni-ki as he finally snapped out of it, and quickly shakes his head. the class proceeds to turn their heads to look at ni-ki, including sunoo.
" please remind him to pay attention next time, jungwon. " ms choi says to jungwon before turning around to write things on the whiteboard.
jungwon nods his head. as soon as ms choi turns around, he looks at the seemingly anxious boy.
" ni-ki, what's going on with you? you're usually not like this, " jungwon asks his seat mate out of concern.
" if i tell you, jungwon, will you be honest with me? " ni-ki breathes out.
not expecting that answer, jungwon nods his head in reply and mouths a ' i promise ' to him.
" was whatever sunoo said about me true? about him not caring about me— i mean, he loathes me in general, doesn't he? "
jungwon seems even more taken aback by ni-ki's direct response.
but as soon as jungwon was about to reply, the school bell starts ringing, cutting jungwon off.
" y'know what.. just forget it. " ni-ki then stood up and left the class in a hurry. somehow, he knocked onto sunoo's shoulder on his way out, but he didn't stop to apologise like he usually did.
jungwon then rushed over to sunoo, who was currently quite shocked.
" sunoo! oh my gosh, did he hurt you? " jungwon asked worryingly.
" n—no, i'm alright. let's head off. " sunoo gains his composure before picking his bag up to leave with jungwon.
