Back at the base, the group had just finished gathering supplies when Sayori, curious and ever-optimistic, discovered something unexpected. She had been searching through the storage room, organizing their makeshift camp, when a peculiar cardboard box caught her attention. It was nestled at the bottom of a pile of discarded items, looking innocuous enough, but something about it intrigued her.
Sayori: (lifting the box carefully) Hey, what's this?
The others, including Jason, Sonic, and Whisper, looked up from their respective tasks. Sayori opened the box slowly, her eyes widening as the contents inside were revealed. Within the cardboard confines, several small, delicate creatures appeared, each one shimmering in the dim light.
The creatures were small, crystal-like dragons, each composed of a different type of shimmering crystal: quartz, sapphire, amethyst, and even jade. They had the appearance of playful, harmless pets, their miniature forms gracefully moving about within the box as if they were exploring their new environment.
Sayori: (smiling) They're so cute! Look at them!
Jason moved closer, eyeing the creatures with curiosity. They moved in a gentle, pet-like manner, their crystal bodies catching the light with each flicker of movement. It was an unexpected sight, especially after the tense encounter with The Minic Voices.
Whisper approached with caution, watching the crystal dragons carefully. Her years of experience with various entities had made her aware that appearances could be deceiving. However, these dragons didn't seem dangerous at all.
Whisper: (curious) Where did you find them?
Sayori: (excited) It was just in this box. I opened it, and bam! They just appeared!
Sonic stepped forward, tilting his head as one of the dragons gently fluttered up to his hand, nuzzling against his palm. Its surface felt cool to the touch, the crystal facets reflecting the light in all directions.
Sonic: (chuckling) Well, this is a nice change of pace. After dealing with all that chaos, we deserve a little cuteness, right?
Jason looked down at the dragons, still skeptical, but his face softened as he watched their harmless antics. For a brief moment, he allowed himself to forget the danger surrounding them. The playful creatures offered a moment of respite from the chaos of their lives.
Sayori: (holding one of the dragons gently) I'm going to name this one Sparkle.
Suddenly, Entity-9/Electroid, who had been busy with other tasks, approached the group. He had been reviewing data on nearby entities and seemed lost in thought. But as he saw the crystal dragons, his demeanor shifted, and he let out a low whistle.
Entity-9/Electroid: (raising an eyebrow) Ah, I see you found Entity-27.
Sayori: (enthusiastically) Yeah! Aren't they adorable?
