Part 5

Okay but can we take a moment cause this is the longest I have written so far with almost a 1,000 words and it's 11:30 at night

~Betty's POV~

How did Augustine somehow manage to grab TAYLOR SWIFT as a Best Friend. Well not completely but it's pretty darn close.

Taylor took us to Augustine's house. She offered to bring me to my house but I told her I was sleeping over at Augustine's. When we had arrived it looked like she was trying to memorize the house number but I couldn't really tell exactly.

We walked inside and said by to Taylor but she CAME INSIDE THE HOUSE and talked with August's mom. I have a feeling she is also noticing how August is really treated by Sam and how her mom does absolutely nothing to help.

~Augustine's POV~

Taylor brought me and Betty to my house and WENT INSIDE MY HOUSE AND TALKES TO MY MOTHER. Unfortunately something tells me Sam's gonna beat the shit out of me later but we don't have to worry about that quite yet cause TAYLOR SWIFT IS IN MY HOUSE AND GAVE ME HER PHONE NUMBER.

~Taylor's POV~

Once we all got to Augustine's house I memorized her house number and street just incase cause nothing about any of this felt right. I gave her my number for the same reason and so she had someone to talk to incase she's not comfortable telling anyone else. She's is also the sweetest girl I have ever met I can't deny that.

Her house gave a really weird vibe. It looked like it was built in the 80's so it's not that old. It's a little brick house and all the windows were closed and there was really loud music playing.

When Augustine and Betty went inside and to Augustine's room I saw her mom and asked if we could talk. She told me to come inside and we sat down at their kitchen table. Their house was actually really cute the way they have decorated. I told Augustine's mom about how Inez has been bullying her. She had absolutely no idea what so ever.

"So at school this girl Inez has been like a bully to Augustine. I caught her today making fun of her and pulling her hair. I think you should do something cause it's getting really unhealthy at this point. I can tell it has been going on for a while." I told her mom

"Oh my gosh. I feel so bad. She hasn't told me anything." She said to me

It was all so weird I was wondering if this is really a safe place for Augustine to live. And I think sadly my point was proven right when I noticed what I assumed to be Augustine's Dad which I was quickly informed that it's her step dad. He walked into the kitchen from the living room with  3 empty beer bottles in his hand and asking for a new one. He looked angry and that's when I was worried about Augustine's safety. My security whispered in my ear it was time to leave before her step dad could get violent. It was okay though cause we had been talking for about an hour but the whole time she was looking around and was acting stressed. My future mom senses were telling me something was wrong so. I just couldn't stop checking my phone to see if I had gotten a message from Augustine.

Once I left her house I got in the car and called Travis. We both had busy days me at the school and Travis had practice. I wanted to tell home I was on the way home but I just had to tell him about Augustine and Betty and how cute they are and how much I just wish I could adopt Augustine.

Later that night I got a text from August (I'm gonna call her August now cause I like it better and it's easier).

Hey Taylor this is Betty. I now you just met us and this is a lot to ask of but can you please pick us up? My parents and Augustine's mom said It's okay and we have to get August to a safe place. Sam got mad when he found out you were here and I were here after what happened last night (it's a really long story). He started hitting her and her wouldn't stop cause he got drunk. She passed out and I had to help sneak her out. Please come.

I didn't have to think twice I was to scared for the poor child. I grabbed my keys, threw on my shoes, told Travis to get into the car, got in the drivers seat, and rushed to August's house. It's a good thing I memorized her street and house number. On the quick car ride there I explained the whole thing to Travis so he could help me get August in the car.

As we arrived I noticed Betty halfway on the floor holding up August trying to support her. She was bleeding from her lip and it completely broke me to see her on the ground unconscious like that. She had new bruises almost everywhere and I could see a tear streaming down her face. As soon as we parked Travis shot out of the car and grabbed August putting her in the backs seat while i helped Betty get in. Betty was crying worried for her best friend.

We all rushed to the hospital constantly checking up on her to make sure she was still okay. We got to the hospital in about 5 minutes and rushed her to the emergency room hoping she was okay while they were running tests. All we are worried waiting for are the test results.
