Soo.. my version of the underworld is a little wonky. It's inspired by my middle school brain when I read the Percy Jackson books and listened to Alec Benjamin (love him still!!).

Starting off, the way to get through to the underworld is through an endless room of dense grayish white mist that traps wandering souls unless someone in the underworld comes to claim them. Souls in the gray area are, after a period of centuries, transferred to the river of souls. This river splits the underworld. There is vast amounts of land and seas and everything land like on earth. Except, there is a good and bad side. In the middle of all is Hades castle (ofc) where the river passes under and forms a circle around (kinda like a moat). The bad side is filled with those deemed evil or otherwise bad or unfit for living peacefully with others and are subsequently tortured by their own misdeeds. This leads into the seven deadly sins and a punishment that is cast depending on which one you did. Now, the good side of this is where people live mostly as they did before but no war and everyone lives as their most loved self. So if you were the most loved as a baby, you are now a talking, walking baby. If you were loved most as a teen, then that's what you'll look like. There are villages and places resembling cities where most dead people have chosen. Did I mention that only gods/ half gods/ champions/ accomplished people can make it here? Which is part of the reason people can live in villages and such. The wandering souls of people can be claimed by heroic family or friends if they want. However, it is not common for the heros to bring their loved ones there. Often they find lovers or companions out of other heros. Another thing to note, there is a ceiling, not a sky but there are clouds. There mountains and such too. But most of the surface level rocks (and some subsequent layers) are purple, like dark purple. Lastly, to note there's no known way for getting to one or another side. So no travel between good and bad. Partly because the span of the river is so wide to hold the billions of souls unclaimed or unworthy that now drift in it.

Again this is all my imagination and a pretty weird world I've created for these guys to live in. Also, there shouldn't be anything too graphic involved just fyi. (In case you need the warning)

So, to recap:
⭕️ Souls in the underworld look like the age they were when they were loved the most.
⭕️ Gray mist envelopes you upon being sent to the underworld.
⭕️ There's a "bad" and "good" side of the terrain.
⭕️Hero's can save their loved ones from the gray mist.
⭕️Bad guys get punished according to the deadly sin they committed.
⭕️ There a river of souls that long wandering souls are sent to.
⭕️ There are towns to live in on the good side
⭕️ The underworld is made of purple rock
⭕️No sky but a ceiling but clouds
