Transcendence

Chapter 3

Hey everyone, I'm so sorry I haven't updated anything in a while. I've been taking a break lately because I've been writing so much, amd it's given me Writer's Block, yet again. That's why I couldn't finish Leaves on Roses, my Skabel story, in time for the Just Write It Challenge. I'll try to update more often if I can, I know a lot of people like my stories.

I sighed and went into the bathroom. I locked the door and looked at myself in the mirror as I put my hands on the sink. My left eye was yellow, just like Bill's... I can't let Grunkle Stan or Great Uncle Ford finding out about this (I'm only saying Great Uncle/Uncle Ford because to be honest it sounds better than Grunkle Ford). Uncle Ford would flip if he found out. Grunkle Stan has extra money around, right? I sighed, even if I did buy an eye patch, they would be suspicious of me.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I'm sure it's only a mark, right? Like with that kid in the anime Mabel watches, a demon mark in his eye... He's a human, I think.... Ugh what will I do!? I walked around the bathroom, my face in my hands. I groaned, the eye patch was all I could do. If I used a contact lens, it would look weird, there would still be some yellow....

I tried my best to cover my left eye with my hair so it wouldn't show and I walked downstairs. Luckily, Stan and Ford weren't in sight. I grabbed some money and walked out, going into town.

I went to a store, grabbed an eye patch, and walked up to the cash register. "I'd like to buy this eye patch, please." As soon as the words came out of my mouth, I immediately had a much deeper voice.
"Oh, but you look like you don't need it. What's it for?" The lady asked.
"It's for my uncle." She nodded in understanding and took the money as I took the eye patch. I left the store and I put it on. Can't believe I actually had to wear one of these now... What did Bill do to me!?

I went home and, luckily, Stan and Ford were still out of sight. It was getting late and I just went straight to bed. I was exhausted anyway, I would talk to Mabel tomorrow. I still can't believe she made a deal with Bill... I sighed and went to bed.

Ok, so I know this wasn't much, but the next chapter will be out before the end of tomorrow. I already have plans for it, so please don't hate me for not having much in this chapter.
