Picture of a modernized Lucifer above, if you didn't guess.
The entire carriage ride to Phantomhive manor, Rosalyn acted strange. She kept rubbing her arms, like she was cold, but it was at least eighty degrees outside, and she wouldn't stop fidgeting.
"Milady, is something troubling you?" I switched sides of the carriage and sat by her so I could see her a little closer.
"No, Luce, I'm fine. Just a little nervous." She gave a tiny grimace, like something was hurting her, but it was only noticed because of my heightened senses. Rosalyn was hiding something from me.
When I suddenly realized her hair was streaking with white, I knew something was definitely off. The Other One?
"Milady, is it Thorn bothering you?"
She flinched. "She keeps fighting me. It's.....irritatingly painful."
"She shouldn't be evolving this fast. How long ago did you first sense her?" I was extremely worried about my young mistress, not just because of her soul either. Because the son of Satan can't fail his first contraction, can be?
"Three weeks ago. Only a few days ago was she able to..." She swallowed deeply. "Take over."
"Thorn was designed to be able to take over, for your protection milady. A warrior so stealthy and deadly, she has no free will to do anything other than what I tell her to. Very handy in a battle."
Rose closed her eyes as the carriage hits a bump when it comes to a sudden halt. "Well, we're here."
"It seems that way." I opened the door for her and step out, holding my hand for Rose to step down.
When she exited, I grabbed her gently by the wrist and looked her in the eyes.
"Thorn, stay out of sight. You haven't been called out to serve the mistress, so keep quiet."
A snarl escaped from her throat, a dark voice coming with it that was definitely not Rose's.
"You can't stop me, Snake."
