Chapter one

"Kookie, please I need your help"
How many times did he heard that sentence coming from his best friend mouth? He wouldn't be able to tell even if he wanted.
Ever since they met ten years ago in University, Jungkook have been entangled with Taehyung, being there for him, supporting him but most of the time, helping him.
And yes, today seem to not be different either.
Waking up early for his morning run like every day, Jungkook's music got interrupted on his way back home by a call from the said best friend, his name blinking on his connected watch at least says so.
"Good morning sunshine, what give me the pleasure of your melodious voice this early?" Jungkook answer all smile like he didn't just run a ten kilometers parkour.
"Kookie, it's broken" Jungkook could clearly picture the pout adorning his best friend face as he whines without even greeting him in return, like usually.
"And we are talking about what exactly this time?" The exasperate click of tongue, made him pulling his earphone with a speed barely humaine, knowing his best friend would scream or cry at his incapacity to read his mind.
"MY CAR JUNGKOOK, MY CAR!" Yep, he was right.
"Again?" Well, this time around he really doesn't know how Tae will afford the reparation cost.
"I know, I really don't know what it could be this time, but it's broken" the sniffing was enough for Jungkook to understand his best friend was on the verge of crying, it must be really hard for him.
"Okay, don't cry tiger, I'll pick you up on my way and we will check it after work." Jungkook quickly answer, trying to avoid any crying.
After a plea of "Thank you", "You are my savior", Jungkook end up the call smiling to himself as he steps inside his house. Well, his morning shower will have to be faster than usually if he has to go pick up Taehyung.
Twenty minutes later, Taehyung entered the car, his eyes red from probably crying, greeting Jungkook without his usual smile, Jungkook felt bad for him. As they drive to work, Jungkook try to engage in a talk, trying to kill that unusual silence between them.
"So, what is it this time?" he asks a sulking Taehyung without taking his eyes off the road.
Exhaling deeply, Taehyung turns his head once, looking at Jungkook before looking back at the door window.
"I don't know, I turned the contact on and as I was pulling from the driveway, all the indicating lights turned on then a smoky smell started to invade the car. So, I quickly turned the engine off and got out, to see dark smoke coming from the hood. My car just tried to kill me I think."
Jungkook didn't even tried not to, he fell in a fit of laugh so hard he almost cried from it, but as fast as he started, he stopped even faster when he found the deadly stare Taehyung was giving him.
"Seriously, you find it funny? I could have died!"
Drying his laughing tears with his hand, Jungkook look at him apologetically.
"Sorry, I'm really sorry...It's just how can you be that unlucky Tiger, we went to the garage not even two weeks ago. You are making the shop yearly profit go up by at least 25% just by yourself. I wouldn't even be surprise if they give your name to their employe bonus this year."
Rolling his eyes, Taehyung didn't even try to defend himself, because however he thinks about it, he know Jungkook is right. Just for the last six months he had to go to the repaired shop at least ten times, even the staffs can't figure out how he always ends up breaking his car.
Finally pulling up in the parking, they are greeted by Kai who quickly goes to open Tae's door, helping him to get out before pecking his lips. Jungkook getting out himself, join them greeting Kai with a friendly hug.
"Your boy is delivered on time and in one piece. You're welcome" he told him laughing, kai joining him laugh at the silliness of his friend before taking his boyfriend hand on his own, making their way inside.
"So, babe, please tell me what happened this time for kooknight to rescue you again." Gaining a kick in the ribs by the latter for making fun of him.
But as much as he tried Tae start to laugh and explain his new misadventure to Kai, making him and Jungkook laugh to the point of getting muscle pain from it.
Once calm down they steps inside the school, Jungkook leaving them to go to his department, promising to join them for lunch as he walks away. Once arriving he is greet by one of his fellow professor and friend Yoongi. They met a few years back when Taehyung and him started their teaching career, Yoongi was already teaching his class for three years, having to make them take a look around, it's when Tae started to get excited and speak in Daegu's dialect that their friendship started, since it, it grew and they are now very close.
