Jessie's POV
I watched as Alex and Austin talked. After a while I saw Alex peeking over Austin's shoulder looking at me. Austin quickly moved in his way. They talked for a while more when Alex tried to step around Austin and Austin shifted and threw Alex back.
I know Austin told me to stay in the car but I took my seatbelt off and set my latte in the cup holder and stepped out of the car. I stayed next to the car not leaving the safety behind the door but watched closely as Alex shifted into a dark brown wolf and attacked Austin biting his front left leg. Soon there was a pain in my left arm. I fell to the ground and screamed in pain.
Kyle's POV
Everyone turned to look at Jessie except Austin who took the moment to attack Alex. Taylor had shifted and was helping Austin while I ran over to Jessie to make sure she was ok.
"Jessie! Are you ok? Let me help you back in the car."
"No! Help Austin. Im fine, I will be fine. I will get back in the car but you have to help Austin. Even though Taylor is helping don't underestimate Alex he is really strong. Please help him." She got up and got in the car and shut the door so I went to help Austin.
I got back there and had just shifted and Alex shifted back. Damn my wolf needed some exercise and this was gonna be perfect.
"I can tell I won't win like this. I will be back for her. I won't stop until she is mine." I heard Austin growl as Alex ran shifted and ran off into the woods.
Austin's POV
I watched as Alex ran off and slowly made it back to the car my bite mark already healed. I grabbed the backpack from the back in my teeth and walked into a bush and shifted and put the clothes on.
I walked back to the car and saw the worried look in Jessie's eyes. I was more worried on why she had screamed earlier.
"Im fine. What happened? Why did you scream earlier?" I asked worriedly searching her body for scratches but found nothing.
"I-I don't know. When you got her I suddenly had a pain in my left arm." The bond. Our bond was stronger then it should be. You only feel the others pain after you have fully mated.
"I love you. I don't ever want to lose you." I didn't give her a chance to say anything as I crashed my lips on hers.
Jessie's POV
He didn't give me a chance to say anything because he leaned in and kissed me. I responded quickly kissing him back and wrapping my arms around his neck running my fingers through his hair. He pulled away and drove out of the mall parking lot in silence.
"Im sorry. I went against your word and didn't stay in the car. I just got scared."
"Its ok. You were worried about me. I understand."
The ride home was quiet. Once in a while he would bring up something to talk about.
We were home in about a days time. The second I hit the couch I was asleep.
