Mayu was so happy seeing himself being loved by voiceless creature. He picked her up in his lap and started making faces to make her smile. The moment he picked her up and was playing with her she looked like the happiest kid to be alive.

Your relatives considered this as an opportunity to kill you two as well but people came at wrong place. That's how everything happened. And hence, he is the reason they aren't alive. To be able to give all money to your relatives to shut their mouth the money supply was cut from here.
Abhi knew since beginning that his father isn't a good man, he's mad, wrong to an extent and but him being a criminal is never a point that could have popped up in his head.
