"Aaa!!" Glisten screamed, gasping for breath as he sprinted forward, desperate to escape the Twisted creature hot on his heels. His heart pounded like a drum, knowing all too well that he was down to his last ounce of strength—and just one heart left in his fragile health bar.
"I'm done for!" he muttered to himself, pushing his feet against the ground with all his might to run faster. But his legs were growing heavy, each step feeling like it was slowing him down even more. Cursing silently, he thought, If I don't make it in time, I'm finished!
Glisten quickly scanned his surroundings, desperate for any place to hide. His eyes locked onto a shadowed corner concealed by thick layers of foliage. Without a second thought, he darted toward it, heart racing as he pushed himself harder, praying he wouldn't be seen. As he crouched down in the dim, hidden spot, he instinctively stilled his breathing, willing himself to become as silent as possible.
Please, don't let it find me, he thought, his chest tightening with fear. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to calm the frantic pounding in his chest, but it felt as though his heart was thundering so violently it might shatter any moment. Every beat echoed in his ears, and with each passing second, the tension built, leaving him feeling as though time itself had slowed, stretching the agonizing silence.
Just at that moment, Glisten heard the heavy, stumbling footsteps of the Twisted creature veer off in the wrong direction. Slowly, he opened his eyes, peering through the gaps in the leaves. There, he saw the Twisted chasing after a small figure—it was Pebble, the team's puppy, innocently wagging its tail.
Glisten's heart nearly leaped with relief, and despite the sweat still dripping from his brow, a wave of lightness washed over him. "Oh my God, thank you so much, little puppy! You just saved my life, Pebble!" Glisten exhaled deeply, his hand pressing gently against his chest as if trying to calm the frantic beating of his heart. The overwhelming rush of relief still coursed through him, but he couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped his lips. His body, still trembling from the close call, gradually began to relax, the tension that had gripped him loosening with every passing second.
But then, a sudden thought jolted him back to reality. "Wait... I still need to find a first aid kit! Just one more scratch and I'm done for!" he muttered to himself, brushing the dirt off his clothes as he tried to rise. His legs shook with exhaustion, the weariness of his body making it feel like every movement took all his strength.
"Alright, Glisten! Focus!" he told himself, shaking off the dizziness that clouded his thoughts. "Just stay alive long enough to find that med kit!" The urgency in his voice was the only thing driving him forward now, each shaky step a reminder of how fragile his situation really was.
He took slow, careful steps, scanning the area for any signs of a healing item. The weight of his exhaustion hung heavy on him, but his mind remained sharp, focused on finding something, anything, to stop the bleeding.
A soft sigh escaped his lips as a thought echoed in his mind, I swear... if I make it out of this, I'll buy a few emergency med kits right away. I'm not going through this nightmare again. The frustration at his own lack of preparation lingered, but he couldn't afford to dwell on it now. Each breath was a reminder that his time was running out.

After searching fruitlessly for what felt like an eternity, Glisten's legs gave out, his strength completely drained. He collapsed into a corner of the room, his back leaning against the cold, unyielding wall. His pale blonde hair hung limply over his shoulders, falling messily to obscure his exhausted eyes.
