i was half way through eating and kept joking around with millie and haylee. i tried to ignore the fact josh kept touching my leg and just me in ways i didn't want him to. haylee noticed when his hand was on my leg but i just smiled. i smiled cuz i was hoping she'd see the difference in my smile, but no. she didn't tell the difference.
"josh please" i made sure to be quiet so only he could hear.
"i'm doing nothing your normally fine with it" he laughed and kept his hand on my thigh. i felt so uncomfortable
"but josh i don't like it"

"hi is everything okay with the food?"
as haylee and noah were on the other side of the table they turned around to talk to them. haylees food was cold and noah didn't even get what he ordered.
"oh no i'm so sorry do you want to follow me over to the main bar we can reorder your food?"
"um yeah sure"
no. i wanted them to say no.
millie started crying. why was she crying? i took this as and opportunity to take josh's hand off of me.
i stood up and realised millie needed more juice. she was so thirsty. fuck.
"hey no it's okay i'll just get her another"
haylee put my hair behind my ear but before she could finish josh pulled me back down.
"ow"
"aww i'm sorry" he just laughed. he didn't even mean it. why the fuck did i put up with this. i just wanna be happy. i want to be happy with haylee.
"go order then" josh rolled his eyes at haylee and she just walked away as fast as she could. oh my god he's a dick!
"see now we are alone and you don't care"
"huh?"
he pointed down and put his arm around my shoulder and kept trying to touch me. i don't want him to even have his arm around me.
i pushed him off.
"i'm going."
"you can't go now baby plus i wanna come to yours"
he winked at me. i actually want to be sick.
"no josh! i said fucking no. so many times and yet you don't seem to ever fucking listen.
fuck you seriously." i grabbed millie and haylee came over looking really concerned. she grabbed my shoulders and tuned me around.
"who are you taking to are you okay?"
"no your fucking brother"
"i only wanted to cuddle with her"he made it look like i had been the one doing shit. like it's always me. it's never me. why don't people ever listen.
i thought she was going to defend me. why is everyone going against me?
"jesus kayleigh he wasn't even doing anything wrong don't talk to him like that." she looked sad but why?
"well i'm leaving have fun. noah tonight at the party just please be safe me and zoe will be home."
before anyone could say anything else i took millie, left money on the table just enough for me noah and millie and walked out as fast as i could.
i got a text from noah saying he would stay at his mates house. i really didn't any to be home alone.
"fuck" i cried more and then just thought of everything which just made me cry more. millie hugged my leg which made me stop crying as much. i picked her up and hugged her. as i was about to start walking again i bumped into someone and put millie down.
"oh my god. im so so sorry"
"hey hey woah."
"summer? oh m-i'm so sorry!"
i wiped away my tears and looked up. it was summer. oh my god it was summer.
she was in all my classes last year and i had like the biggest crush on her just kept it to myself. i hope we have classes together when we go back it would be nice to catch up and someone who actually is nice!
"oh kay are you okay?"
"honestly i"
i paused for a minute and looked down. millie was looking up at me and i picked her up and hugged her. summer grabbed me and just held me. it was one of the warmest most genuine hugs anyone has ever given me.
"it'll be okay" she kissed my head and grabbed millie cheeks making her giggle which made me laugh.
"ugh fuck and i'm home alone i"
"i'll uh. ill come home with you?"
"please?"
"of course leigh"
i smiled. she's the only person who has ever called me leigh. it's my favourite nickname anyone has ever given me.
she grabbed my car keys. i put millie in her seat. got myself into the car and we went home.
