It's our place

Baekhyun feels a slight hesitation, glancing around the space that is now meant to be his new home.

Chanyeol leads him in...

"This is it... a little simple, but it's home. You can make any changes you like, of course."

"No, it's... it's nice."

Baekhyun (running his fingers along a polished wooden table, almost to himself):
"Feels strange... like I'm stepping into someone else's life."

"It doesn't have to feel that way for long. This place... it can be ours, if you're ready to let it be."

"What?"

Umm and that's the kitchen , you need not worry , there is an old lady who comes and cooks for me every day. You can tell her your preferences , trust me she is a great cook.

"Oh, alright."

Chanyeol , was a bit hesitant but he controls himself and shows him the bedroom , umm this is the bedroom , you can use it. I'll be using the couch in the living room . We can take it really slow , that's fine.

Baekhyun did not know how to respond to it , but anyways he was happy with Chanyeol's behaviour.

And Baekhyun shi ,there is also a small library near the government school , you can also go there if you are bored and free. And I would suggest you explore this place, there may be something which brings you interest.

He nods , and he says " umm , can I use the toilet?"

Chanyeol responds , " yes" , you can.

After a while ...

The sky was dark already...it was a beautiful night...the stars and the gorgeous moon were casting glows , there was a knock the door...

"Umm , I'll see who is it..."

Baek nods

It was Seok min and Joshua....

"Hello , I couldn't meet you in the evening, we actually had to go to the town as joshua had some work...hope you didn't mind ..".

"No need for formalities...umm , this is Baekhyun and Baekhyun this is Seok min , we work in the same military base, he , me and Kai are the closest here..."

"Hello , and this is joshua...my partner..."

"You are so gorgeous...mind if I talk to you informally , no right?"

"Yeah...that's fine..."

"Um chan shi we bought you guys some food...enjoy..."

"Yeah thank you, see you tomorrow..."

After a while

"So you can sleep in the bedroom, I'll take a leave now... good night."

Chanyeol turns to leave, but Baekhyun feels an unexpected surge of emotion-an urge to not be alone just yet.

"Nah... that's fine. You don't have to go."

Chanyeol pauses, surprised, then turns back to Baekhyun....

"What?"

"Umm...you don't have to leave, I think we can share the bed , that's fine ."

"Are you sure...? It's fine for me , I can leave ..."

Baek nods...

They both lie down on the bed, a noticeable space between them, as the silence stretches. Chanyeol shifts uncomfortably, not quite sure what to do with his hands or how to position himself. He keeps glancing around, clearly unused to this situation.

The soft light from the window casts a gentle glow across Baekhyun's face, illuminating his features in a way Chanyeol hadn't noticed before.
Chanyeol finds himself studying Baekhyun's face, noticing small details: the delicate curve of his jaw, the way his eyelashes rest lightly against his skin.

He pulls his gaze away, an uneasy thought settling in his mind. Could he ever truly connect with Baekhyun? Or was he only drawn in by a fleeting, physical admiration?

"This... isn't as simple as I thought."

After a while
But for Baekhyun, sleep offers no peace. His dreams twist and turn, dragging him back to memories. Minjoon's face is clear, his voice filling Baek's mind with their shared moments

With a sudden start, Beakhyun wakes up, his breath ragged, heart pounding as though he's still trapped in the nightmare.

"Why can't I just let go...?"
