10 - Life and Death

Summary:

Origin of Ramiro's hate/annoyance with Ravien.

Akari the Elder Goddess of Life and Ramiro the Elder God of Death have been the closest duo among the other gods. They are as close as the siblings they are compared to the others. Ramiro always is fascinated by Akari's abilities and creations, Akari on the other hand is enthralled by what her creations could become after their life had passed.

The two aren't as opposite as many might think when thinking of Life and Death. They both enjoy passing time by watching over the creatures of living and dead. Ramiro treats Akari like a little sister, even if they are all made by the Ancients at the same time and is technically the first created among them.

He is the typical overbearing big brother among all of them that will do anything to keep Akari happy and content and the others kept in line. Granted, doing so is not easy when Akari is the type who gets bored easily and does not keep their rules in mind at all times.

So when the Goddess' fascination with humans became stronger that she wanted to live life among them he did not approve and tried everything he could to discourage her.

Unfortunately for him, it only fueled her desire to leave. He had no choice but to let her go, thinking she would get bored eventually and come back.

So when she finally did and with the news of her having a relationship with a human of all creatures he was shocked and livid, he then challenged the human for her hand like what human brothers do or fathers most likely when presented with similar news by their sisters or daughters.

He, the Elder God of Death challenged a mere human for the hand of the Elder Goddess of Life.

Of course, a battle between a human and god is not fair but Ramiro didn't care about that. Akari had to step in and fight Ramiro himself, to tell him she will not leave the human no matter what anyone else says unlike a coward like him.

A low blow but it's the truth. He was a coward to let his own beloved human be with him, his cowardice sprang multiple destruction and deaths before he gave her a chance to be with him.

However, unlike him, if Akari lets the human be with her, it will be less dangerous for the human for she is the Elder Goddess of Life. Even if said human turned out to be one of the not so typical ones, possessing and able to use an old weapon artifact to almost win their battle before Akari needed to step in for him.

Still up to the present Ramiro still hates the human for hogging Akari in the mortal world. Its precious bonding gone ya know! Damn Ravien Nightraven!!
