New beginning

Megatron's transmission ended. We all knew very well that it was coming, after all we were the only decepticons left in this area. I reloaded my gun and took a glance at the highway. It was calm for such a busy human town. Well not for long, I grinned as my sharp metal teeth grinded against each other.
"It's a suicide missions, then" Crankcase said as he looked at us.
"So you hadn't figured it out yet, for such a fast dread your processors are dam slow!" Hatchet chuckled.
"Hey, you old piece of junk I was just confirming, Megatron is never very clear about our missions and soundwave is even worse! I hate those shit heads! They think we are no more than expandable protoforms or something, they wouldn't even give a shit if we died!"
"Because you think someone would?" I asked mockingly. "After all that's exactly what we wanted."
I hung my gun on my wrist as it transformed and fused within my arm. I always liked that, easier to store and so much more practical for combat. After all, wasn't I built for that? Bad memories started to drown my mind, as I started thinking about that. I then blinked my eight eyes, desperate to get rid of them.
"The plan is simple," I said still trying to get rid of those ghosts. "We distract the autobots, give Sentinel enough time to locate the pillars and do his thing, we die and then, the fun starts!"
"That wasn't the plan Crowbar, we are supposed to help and escort Sentinel..."
"Change of plans, I've just learned he has a rust gun, there's no way we are getting close to him without taking a risk ..."
" A rust gun what the hell!" Exclaimed Crankcase. "How is this shit even possible!"
"Don't know and really don't care. Anyways I don't know about you, but I don't want to be disintegrated. If we get too close and we blow his cover, he will not hesitate and will fucking blow us to smithereens. He can't let the autobots know that he is now allied with Megatron, and us neither. The invasion is going to start soon, we haven't got much time."
" They are coming, said Hatchet looking at the highway, I can smell them: 5 vehicles including 3 autobots, 3 humans and Sentinel, its them alright!"
"The energon beacons are ready, three signals as we planned. It's when your ready Crowbar!"
"I was already ready thousands of years ago my brother!" I said to Crankcase, "let's go boys!"
"Lest die and get our freedom back!" roared Crankcase with glee.
" And start our true mission." muttered Hatchet to himself.
We ran out on the street and transformed so we could drive unseen to the highway, we are robots in disguise after all! I felt my entire frame change as it shrank and expanded, my head split into several different pieces organising themselves around my contorting and deforming body. I felt neither pain nor pleasure, I was used to it after all, but I'll never forget the first time. I didn't even completely transform; it was so painful; I thought that my limbs would break. But no time to think about that. I was now in my SUV alternate mode. I was never a big fan of this vehicle: it was too simple, blocky and noisy, but most of all it really pissed me of that we all had the same car mode, even though it was necessary to keep our cover, and was overall a practical and strong vehicle. We rushed along the road toward the highway, Crankcase took the lead reaching a dangerously high speed, a speed that made it totally impossible for him to stop at the red light. I gathered that was what he was going for as he charged and struck the multiple humans who were crossing the road. His maniacal laugh confirmed my suspicion. I felt chunks of flesh bounce of my hood and a red rain tainted my windows. I really hate those organics!
"Was that necessary?" Cried hatchet in anger. "It's disgusting, plus they weren't doing anything annoying, and they were surely not disturbing!"
"Yes freedom is the right of all sentient beings!" Laughed Crankcase (he's really nuts). "Careful you might become a prime Hatchet! Who cares if they die, they hate us anyway."
He wasn't wrong about that: ever since we arrived on earth humans have been hunting us mostly within the N.E.S.T. organisation (or also known as the Non-biological Extraterrestrial Species Treaty), but not only. We are aliens, powerful and frightening monsters, they are afraid of us, and don't understand or control us, and what you can't control, you destroy. I could still hear the screams of the humans behind me. Crankcase had created a real carnage, with the blood and guts spilled everywhere and the other humans crying there loses. I felt something strange but ignored it. I had to concentrate on the mission. Still at full speed, we drove onto the highway. I heard a horn blow as an angry driver swerved on the left lane to let us pass. I always appreciated their politeness.
"The beacons are activated, we are good to engage." yelled crankcase over the angry horn.
"Alright, I'll lead, you follow. I said as I drove in the middle lane, lets end this"
We drove along the highway long enough to be detected, I accelerated and shifted in 6th gear. I could already see the autobots in front of us and the human vehicle. I might hate those bots but I must say, that the vehicles they picked have style! Indeed, they had chosen quite fancy cars: a yellow Camaro, a red Ferrari and a silver corvette stingray. And we had to have the ugly vehicles, never mind. I saw that the "normal" vehicle didn't have any roof. I zoomed in and saw a tall human with rather messy hair sitting in the back seat. I recognised him straight away. Agent Simmons, you bastard you have really been a nuisance to us during our "vacation" on earth. An idea slowly crept in my mind as my anger grew. You know what Simmons, it's payback time! We continued to accelerate and drove right behind them. Hatchet and Crankcase cornered Simmons as I drove right behind him, he turned and looked at us with a mixture of horror and fear painted on his face, and I relished every moment of it! I drove forward and transformed. I felt again my entire body change and contort as I rolled on the road. I roared and started running toward the car and a now screaming Simmons. I reached my hand out, wrapped my claws around him and threw him on the concrete as is jumped over the car. As I fell to the ground I rolled over then jumped again and crashed against a metallic signpost that was instantly knocked over as I tried to keep up to speed with the autobots.
"Thanks for the ramp bro!"
"You'll owe me latter Crankcase!"
The distinct sound of scraping metal confirmed to me that they had transformed. I continued to accelerate running and jumping over cars, grabbing and throwing them when necessary. I could feel the very road itself, brake and torn to shreds under my talons as we gained on the autobots. They were right in front of us now. Hatchet pushed me and took the middle lane forcing me to tumble on the right side.
"What was that for?" I roared at him in anger.
"Watch and observe as the ancient teaches one more lesson. I call this one the epic outro."
Hatchet sped with his four legs and pounced on the yellow autobot. As expected, this one dodged the attack and semi transformed to steer, but that was exactly what Hatchet wanted. He was the oldest of us and the most experienced, the many battles he fought had turned him into a cunning and dangerous killing machine. He wouldn't have fallen for such an obvious trap, matter of fact, us neither. Crankcase and I followed "the ancient" and jumped over our respective Autobots. Off course they dogged us. As soon as I landed on the concrete, I broke into a full sprint. They had already started to aim at us, and indeed a missile whizzed past my shoulder and exploded in mid-air. Thinking about it we could have pretended to die here. But we had to get closer to N.E.S.T., it was a vital part of our plan. It annoyed me that Hatchet would die here, and not respect my orders, but I knew that he would arrive in time at the location, he's never late not like Crankcase, who never gives a shit anyway. I turned my head and saw multiple bullets and missiles hit Hatchet who rolled on the road under the impact, then the red autoboot transformed and threw is hooks towards him. The chains tightened as the hooks sunk into Hatchet's iron ribs, and to add further insult to injury, the autobot started surfing closely behind while his comrades continued to shoot at us. I threw up with my claws a car, using it as a shield, blocking several bullets. It was strange to see Hatchet so powerless and weak, but I knew very well that if he wanted to, he could have killed all three of them in no time. The red Ferrari yanked my old friend onto the other side of the highway. He landed with a loud thud onto a passing car, his head broke off in the process letting escape a painful scream. Steal crashed against steal and passing cars were hurled into the air exploding, turning the scene into an inferno of fire, metal and what they thought was energon leaking through the warrior's wounds. I smirked glad that the plan was working and looked in front. Sentinel wasn't far in front of us. The further he was the better it would be. We continued to run tossing up any car that we could grab, anything to slow those autobots, and those never-ending bullets. But those sneaky autobots didn't slow down, they kept dogging transforming again and again trying to catch up with us.
"That's it I've had enough, let's see how they deal with this."
I looked at Crankcase as he grabbed a truck and threw it in the air tossing all its contents straight towards the autobots.
"That should keep them busy, especially for the yellow Camaro, I think there is a human inside!"
"Brilliant, let's exit here." I said as I pointed toward the nearest exit. "They are getting too close to us, and sentinel isn't fast enough. I think this could be a good short cut."
"You think?" yelled crankcase.
"Shut up and follow me, there is no time to lose."
We both transformed back into vehicle mode and drove towards the exit. We drove through the streets at full speed towards what I hoped was the N.E.S.T. facility. I started to think about Sentinel, that would soon become a complete traitor. It was strange thinking about it, why would he, an autobot, a prime, betray his own brethren? I always found it hard to understand those cybertronians, both autobots and decepticons, but this... I know that there were many traitors on both sides who changed for their own reasons, but Sentinel was a Prime, a Prime, the highest rank that any cybertronian could dream of, given by their god primus himself! Well, I suppose restoring cybertron thanks to those pillars, that he built, was far more important than caring for aliens that he barely knew of, those strange humans. Maybe the autobots should follow him after all. Oh no... I quickly transformed and jumped over the terrified humans crossing the road. I mustn't have seen the red light, I musn't of been paying any attention as I was lost in my thoughts. I heard screams, crunching and squelching sounds behind me before I even landed and transformed back into vehicle mode.
"You sick bastard, your processors must be completely fried after that flight to the moon!"
"No I just can't help it Crowbar!" laughed Crankcase behind me "And I think it was really your sick stunt that scared them: they thought you would never stop! I just finished the job ha-ha-ha."
I ignored his remarques and continued driving manoeuvring through the streets as fast as I could to escape this second bloodbath. I then went back to my thoughts and thought about that flight to the moon that was in fact our first true mission, when we got here. When the autobots arrived to the moon, and freed there so called ally Sentinel prime who has landed there eons ago in his ship the Ark with his pillars, we had to make sure that they didn't find out on any circumstances that an entire decepticon army was also buried under the surface, dormant, waiting for the first phase of the invasion, all under Megatron's command the decepticon leader himself. After bringing this army to earth thanks to his "teleporting" pillars Sentinel would then proceed to use them to teleport Cybertron itself! I wonder how that would play off! I mean teleporting an army ok, but an entire bloody planet? That's why we need to get the hell out of here before all hell breaks loose. In a couple of hours this entire town would become pure mayhem, but hopefully we would be long gone.
We finally arrived in an open area, the autobots were already there. Wasn't a short cut after all. Thankfully Crankase kept his mouth shut, a rare occasion! The silver corvette transformed and started shooting at us, but we dogged the bullets with ease. We were still far away. I then suddenly realised that another one was coming right our way, a big jet-black truck. He was charging at us! I think Crankcase realised too, but we were barely even able to process the situation before it charged and crashed into both Crankcase and myself sending us flying through the air. Time had seemed to stop as all three of us transformed in a desperate attempt to land back on our feet. I felt some of my vital fluids, my own blood, pour out of my mouth and spread onto my face, dripping into my optics. But that was nothing compared to the pain I felt, when I landed right on a bus stop beside the road. Some of the metal beams dug into my ribs and the shattered glass flew in every direction, in my body, in the air, and in the eyes of unlucky humans, who were now screaming in pain. But I shouldn't complain, my creators made me go through much worse, so much worse.
After that, I quickly rose back up and transformed both of my wrists into guns pointing them at the autobots that had already taken position. Crankcase was up to, rage filling his eight eyes. I could see that he had only one goal: to murder them. I myself was foaming and I felt my six tentacles wiping behind my back with anger and frustration. We had to keep to the plan. Of course, we couldn't die without putting up a fight, it would be too suspicious, and they couldn't find out what we truly were, that we weren't like them.
The scene was quite tense, each bot had his two blasters pointed at his opponents ready to fire waiting for the perfect opportunity. Two autobots against two decepticons, the classic standoff that had been repeating itself fore way too long.
"I'm gonna rip your spark out..." roared Crankcase half spitting blood, half talking in our language.
"Is there a problem?" said the black bot looking at both of us with an apparent disgust in his optics, totally oblivious to Crankase's desires.
"Whoa, little Mexican standoff we got here!" Mocked the silver corvette autoboot.
This stupid autobot was on my left, and the big black one who I gathered was the autobots weapons expert Ironhide, was on my right. And let's not forget the foaming Crankcase in front of me ready to shoot at any moment.
"Weapons down." said Ironhide.
"And we will let you escape with your dignity." completed the silver bot.
That wasn't at all a good situation, if they could still study us they would know the truth. We needed not only to die but to be destroyed like Hatchet was.
"Do we do it here?" asked Crankcase still talking in our language.
"Yes we will, use the sticks!"
"Drop them!" spat Ironhide to our attention.
We all threw our weapons down, autobots included. Of course, they hadn't understood our little exchange, and that we weren't done yet. It was time for a sneak attack! I felt my back slightly transform as to sticks came out, covered in razor sharp spikes.
"That's good." said Ironhide still oblivious to what was happening.
I took one look at him and then threw one of my sticks towards this pompous bot. I marvelled with glee as it logged itself into his chest making him cry in pain. There might have been a mission to follow but I was only fuelled by pure and utter hatred at this moment. He really didn't know who or what we were and would most certainly never find out. But it didn't matter, I was tired of being insulted and disrespected for my appearance. I might have looked like a monster, but they truly made me become one with their stupid war!
The next few seconds were a blur. I think the silver autobot tried to warn his comrade of my attack, but to no avail. Then this sneaky bastard dodged Crankcase's sticks, jumping over and cutting them to bits. He landed swiftly as he shouted to his fiend kicking one of his guns to him. Ironhide caught it in mid-air aimed a shot at me while I lunged at him. I felt pain, a lot of pain as my entire head exploded into a million pieces sending me tumbling backwards toward a building where I slump, presumedly dead. After that, I couldn't see or hear properly, but I heard enough to know that Crankcase was dispatched shortly after me with a few roars of anger and an explosion. I heard transforming sounds as the autobots quickly left the scene, probably eager to check on Sentinel, still ignoring that he would betray them. I waited a few minutes before getting back up, just enough time for my face to reform itself and everyone to leave the scene. N.E.S.T. wouldn't come after us, they had bigger problems to deal with, bigger than a couple of dead decepticon "punks".
As soon as my eyes reformed and were relogged into my metal skull, I shut them tightly not daring to open them. It felt strange just to lie there, against a random wall on a random planet. It felt good. It felt good to be slump there, not doing anything, as if nobody needed me anymore, nobody. A moment of peace... I deserved it didn't I after the millennia of wars I fought, the pain, the trauma, and the torture... I was probably the one bot who went thru the most pain in the universe! So, yes it felt good to be there, peaceful at last, just pushing all those ghosts away, pretending they didn't exist.
My illusion of peace was suddenly broken however, as I heard screams, the scraping of metal, and a very familiar voice:
"Get the hell of me, you bug! What do you think I am, a merry-go-round?! Oh, I get it you like rides... let's see how you like this one then!"
Something flew thru the air screaming the entire time before landing with a thud on the road where it mysteriously stopped screaming. I wonder why! After that "incident", I heard multiple other cries and screams, probably stupid humans who were, curious enough, and stupid enough to approach our carcases. I went back to my thoughts. Hearing Crankcase made me realise, I couldn't stop, not now. I had to help them, we had to get out of here and join the others, otherwise all this death, all this pain, all this suffering would have been all for nothing. they still needed me, and I couldn't ignore that!
I stood up on my feet and looked around. Clearly Crankcase had done a good job: there were no more humans around, well apart from the dead ones of course.
"Can you believe that, shouted Crankcase at me, that stupid autobot actually impaled my head with my own stick!"
"Do you prefer that or a head shot like what I got?"
"You are so funny! It just makes me mad that we have to fake fighting and fake our deaths..."
"This is necessary for the plan, believe me I hated every moment of that too."
"Well you looked quite happy slumped against your cosy wall while I was cleaning this "crime scene"!"
"Yeah, fuck you too! Let's go now we are running out of time; the invasion could start any moment now."
"Oh I totally forgot about that part. I would have given everything to see the autobots faces when they realised that Sentinel had betrayed them. Ho ho that must have been sweet, fear, confusion, pain and sorrow!"
We both transformed in our suburban vehicle modes and drove away towards N.E.S.T. and probably an early Hatchet.
" But what are we going to do now, you still haven't really told us why we have to go to N.E.S.T.'s headquarters."
"I managed to get some of the data that soundwave hacked from their satellites, they have been collecting, studying and conserving multiple cybertronian ships that have crashed on earth during the last 5 years. My aim is to sneak in during the mayhem, find one that's not to broken, repair it if necessary, and then set course to planet Caminus were we are supposed to meet our brothers."
"Simple as that?" he said sarcastically.
"You can't get any simpler, especially for your limited processors!"
" Ok then captain Tentakill, I put my entire trust into you! He laughed as I overtook him."
Tentakill, stupid nickname he gave me after one of the piranacons, a bot who transformed into a squid. Why? Because I have six tentacles sprouting out of my back. In fact, all three of us had strange and beastly appearances, even for decepticons. Hatchet is a quadruped, he has an enormous jaw filled with thousands of razor-sharp teeth, his spiked spine ends with a sharp and deadly tail. Crankcase and I have however more of a bipedal stance, but our arms and legs are like those of a beast, filled with talons and claws. I had tentacles, Crankcase and Hatchet had dreads and that's where our gang's name came from. To complete the look both Crankcase and I had multiple mandibles, rows of teeth and eight eyes. Other bots would always run away from us even before the war. They despised us, they hated us but more, so they feared us! This owed us a certain reputation back on Cybertron around the outskirts of the city of Kaon. We ruled this region like tyrants, controlling, everything and everyone, killing if necessary. We were feared yes, but we were powerful. We weren't discriminated anymore; we were respected we ruled supreme in this hell and brought cosmos to this chaos. Yes, things did change! After all we weren't created, but built, built to kill, to bring fear, and order. Such a sad faith when you think about it, we never had truly a choice. That's why we got up from those fatal injuries and healed in no time: what good is a fearful death machine if it dies easily?
I was lost in my thoughts, rambling, when suddenly, I saw a yellow post van following us. I titled my rear-view mirror to take a closer look.
"What the hell?"
"Yeah I thought nothing of it at first, but this van has been following us for a while now." Said Crankcase.
"An autobot?"
"I don't know, but I'm about to find out."
"No, no certainly not! Do not transform! We can't risk being found alive, you already made a mess back at the Mexican standoff, let me deal with it!"
"Yeah whatever..."
I pushed myself to the side leaving Crankcase to overtake me. As he did, I felt the entire left side of my vehicle mode, being scrapped. The street was narrow, but I knew that he did it on purpose. Crankcase hated to be commanded, but if we let him lead us, he would probably get us all killed in a matter of minutes. As angry as this made me, I ignored him. I started slowing down, getting closer to the post van. I extended my tentacles and directed them discreetly under the van. I was just about to toss it over when I heard a familiar voice.
" You really didn't recognise me? You younger bots are sometimes so unaware!"
"Hatchet, is that you?"
I knew that was a stupid question, but still asked it anyway, for security maybe, before tossing this van to its doom.
"Of course it's me who else could it be!"
"Don't know an autobot maybe?" crankcase said with irritation.
"Yeah, I suppose so..."
"And Hatchet what's up with this vehicle mode, It looks horrible!" coughed Crankcase holding back his laughter.
"Well my fellow Dreads, let me teach you another lesson: when you are supposed to be dead and the entire town is under heavy surveillance, changing vehicle mode is a good idea, to stay hidden, and maybe prevent your imminent death. Oh, and this van was the first thing I found."
"Looks great, I chuckled sarcastically, if you want to look pathetic, and remarked: this yellow is too bright!"
"Hey you don't always get lucky, sometimes the car picks the transformer! Well, I know you two morons like to pick on me and laughed at my misadventures, but did you turn off the energon beacons?"
Crankcase swerved in front of me, forcing me to slow down.
"What?! Well at least they are off now he he!" he said just as scared and shocked as I was.
I had totally forgotten about them. I threw a nearby bin with my tentacles in rage. I was the one commanding but I also had to be aware of all those different details. Such mistakes could get us killed especially where we are heading, (Caminus is a fortress!). I could not allow this happening again, I mustn't, for our survival.
all of us then stayed quiet for the rest of the journey, getting ever closer to our ticket to Caminus and also closer to the enemy.
" Our destination is approaching turn left Crankcase."
"Ok... Wait this isn't N.E.S.T. it's an underground car park, what..."
"We will infiltrate the facility at night. We need to wait to be sure that no one has been following us. As well, this will be the perfect place to explain my entire escape plan, and to hide."
We entered the carpark, two suburbans and a post van, what an original convoy. A convoy that was automatically noticed, and furthermore as we drove through and destroyed the barriers blocking our way. Two humans started chasing after us, but in vain as we accelerated and drove toward the ramp to access the other levels. We went down, and down this never-ending ramp towards the bottom floors. I couldn't prevent myself from thinking how this was a perfect metaphor for cybertron's downfall, getting worse and worse as the war raged, and destroyed, this once peaceful and powerful planet, going down and down... We exited on the second last floor, it was nearly empty as expected, and as necessary.
"Well, I think it's a good idea to change vehicle modes now..."
"Hey you see Crankcase, I'm always full of good Ideas!"
"Whatever Hatchet!" Crankcase grumbled to himself.
Changing vehicle modes was something I looked forwards to the first few thousand years of my existence, until, well I got used to it. Here the priority wasn't to find an aesthetically pleasing, or a cool vehicle (as much as I wanted to), but a practical, discrete and if possible, battle ready vehicle. We all split and started our search. There weren't many cars, so our choices were diminished. I drove around trying to find a vehicle that matched my desires. I then stumbled on the perfect vehicle: a N.E.S.T. armoured car! Its location was logical, because the headquarters were so close, but I guess I was very lucky as well. I scanned the vehicle. I visualised its different components and abilities thanks to my scanner. A perfect match! I then started to change vehicle modes. I body transformed once more adapting to this new vehicle. Metal started to deform as it grew and shrunk, stretching and modifying my Armor and my limbs. I wasn't a scientist, but I knew that this process engaged changes even at a molecular level, changing pigments and creating new materials, continuing this metamorphosis. I remember the first time I arrived on earth, and I discovered rubber, it was a strange material that didn't exist on Cybertron. We had similar materials, but nothing came close to it. After that I had no time to examine my new abilities, I had to drive quickly in a parking space as security had arrived, searching for the strange convoy that broke in. But it was nowhere to be found. After a few minutes they went back up.
"They aren't here, I don't understand! Where could they have gone? We searched every damn level!"
"Let's go back up we must have missed them. They couldn't have just vanished."
They exited the level ascending towards the other ones. I slowly came out of my parking place. I gathered that Crankcase and Hatchet must have had already scanned their vehicles too, after all they weren't detected. I drove towards the middle lane. This vehicle mode felt good, it was sturdier than the suburban, but understandably slower, and heavier. I saw two other vehicles drive towards me, a brown pickup truck and a bright yellow Lamborghini.
"Yellow isn't a really discrete colour Crankcase, wasn't there anything else?"
"Hey I care about style, unlike you, and I didn't choose the colour I chose the car."
"I think it perfectly suits you my friend, chuckled Hatchet!"
"Shut up, have you seen your vehicle? It looks so goofy and this brown is awful!"
"It is different and I like it, at least here we can scan what we want! No laws or rank nonsense binding us on this planet!"
"Yeah your right, and anyway Crowbar if we infiltrate at night no one will see us anyway."
"I hope so, we can't fuck this up or we will be done for, lets transform shall we?"
"With pleasure comrade let's transform and roll out! said Hatchet.
We all transformed into robot mode. We were still the same bots, with a similar appearance, but still there were major different changes with each of us. Crankcase was taller than before and slightly slimmer. His fore arms were bigger and longer to adapt to this new vehicle mode. Different car components formed two ranges of sharp spikes in his back and his doubled jointed legs similar to mine would of course now boost his speed, although mine were more for support than anything else. He had now dangly legs, very different to mine. I was shorter but bulkier, my shoulders were broader ranged with multiple spikes. My arms were longer a now reached the ground helping to support me helped by to new appendices that were jolting out from my back, with my tentacles. This was completed with larger legs and wider feet. Hatchet was probably the only one who changed the less. He looked similar to when he had scanned his suburban alternate form, only now too huge metal plates were implemented on his shoulders and another over his head as a visor, amplifying defence, and his tow away hook had become his tail. Cybertronians don't always change as much as that when scanning another alternate form, however we were engineered to adapt an evolve into the deadliest and most combat ready form as possible. We were slaves, we were weapons. But all this could change very quickly if we completed our mission.
"Well hello little guy, are you lost?" laughed Crankcase.
I growled at him.
"I think all of our robot modes are perfect for this infiltration, definitely not as stealthy and equally balanced than the suburbans, but we are going to need everything we've got to break into N.E.S.T."
"So tell us what is the plan brother." said Hatchet in a serious tone.
" A few months ago I was able to steal some top secret files from N.E.S.T. that Soundwave stole..."
"Stealing from the decepticons number one spy how the hell did you pull that one?!" Yelled Hatchet.
"Wow, you're right, that part didn't click the first time you told me, yeah how did you do that?" asked Crankcase know all confused.
" It was long and difficult believe me, but no time to explain. I learned from these files that N.E.S.T. has been collecting dead transformers carcases, ever since its creation, but not only. They've also been collecting decepticon spaceships that crashed on earth, as I already explained to Crankcase. If we find one in a correct state, we will be able to activate it and then get the hell out of here..."
"And N.E.S.T. will be distracted because of the invasion." completed Crankcase.
"Alright that seems to be a descent plan, but do you now precisely were the ships are, Crowbar? Hatchet asked."
" Yes there is an underground base under the headquarters, they have multiple hangers each with different ships."
"But why the autobots didn't use them instead of building their own rocket when they went to the moon?" Said Crankcase with suspicion.
"To long to rebuild I suppose, not safe enough or N.E.S.T. maybe hid this from them? Proposed Hatchet.
"N.E.S.T. is a top-secret base, activating a random decepticon or ship could risk them getting detected by Megatron, because of the distress beacons. And don't forget the only reason we knew where this base was, was thanks to sentinel."
"I suppose so, said Crankcase."
I continued to explain them my plan how we would use our new vehicle modes to get in: Crankcase would be our sniper with his exceptional sight. I would then use my vehicle mode as a trojan horse to get in, and Hatchet would be the decoy. Once we would have successfully infiltrated the base, we would go to the lower levels and lock ourselves in. hopefully we would meet no autobots, but if we do, they will have to die. We will have to go fast and fly the ship out of earth orbit before the invasion would have fully taken place, otherwise other decepticon ships would gun us down. Megatron does not accept traitors inside his ranks, even if he betrayed Cybertron, by starting this war.
"Crowbar, after we escape..."
"If we escape."
"Thank you Hatchet, spat Crankcase in irony, as I was saying, after we escape, and arrived to Caminus, what are we going to do there? You said there was a weapon of something."
"And how do we land on this blasted planet, it's more of a fortress than anything else!"
"Don't worry Hatchet N.E.S.T. files weren't the only thing that I stole from, Soundwave. There's more where that came from! On Caminus, we will plan the extraction of the weapon waiting for the arrival of the others, and trust me we are going to need planning, this won't be an easy task. It could take a while."
"Ok ok, you keep setting plans but none of us really know where this is all going to, what is this weapon?"
"Crankcase, only the leaders of each team, me, Silencer, and Hooligan know about that plan, we can't afford it being leaked out of our little group. If someone knows about it, it will surely be the end." I saw Crankcase clenching his fists.
" We trust you, but this mission is more important than each and every one of us, no risk can be taken. As for the weapon, you will know soon enough, but I don't think you're going to like it."
I looked at my comrades who know seemed know very confused. They would understand in time, after all I didn't want them to quit on me, on us. Even I hesitated and was taken aback at first: this weapon...this power... is pure evil.
