Yoongi’s POV

I’m sitting in my office, the dim light casting shadows across the room as I stare at the file in my hand. Her face looks back at me, innocent and untouched by the darkness around her. She has no idea that I’ve been watching.

I’m not the type to get distracted. The mafia is no place for weakness, and yet here I am, losing focus over a woman I’ve barely met.

Jisoo: [clearing his throat] “Boss, the surveillance team has been monitoring her movements as you requested. She doesn’t suspect a thing.”

I nod, my eyes still on her photo. “Good. Keep it that way.” She’s not ready for the world I live in. But I’ll make sure nothing touches her.

I dismiss Jisoo and look out the window, my thoughts drifting back to her. Her laughter, her warmth—it’s a light in a world that’s consumed me, a world I thought I controlled. But it feels like I’m the one losing control.

Y/N’s POV

I’m sitting outside a cozy cafe with my brothers, laughing as Taehyung oppa tries to convince Seokjin oppa to try his coffee with extra sugar—“You need to live a little, hyung!” he insists. This is what I love most: the rare moments when it’s just us, no business, no formality, just laughter.

Namjoon: [smiling fondly] “So, Y/N, any plans for the weekend? Don’t tell me you’re working again.”

I roll my eyes, nudging him playfully. “You know I’m not like you, oppa. I don’t live in the office.”

Seokjin: [teasingly] “She’s just more responsible than you, Joon. Don’t be jealous.”

The boys laugh, and I feel that familiar warmth. They’ve always looked out for me, always protected me—even if sometimes I feel like I’m living in a bubble because of it. But as I look around the bustling plaza, I catch a faint glimpse of someone watching from the shadows. Just for a moment, a chill runs down my spine.

Taehyung: [noticing my distracted look] “Y/N? You okay?”

I blink, forcing a smile. “Yeah, just… thought I saw someone.” I shake it off, laughing. “Guess I’m too used to having you three around to scare people off.”

Namjoon: [chuckling] “Good. Because no one’s good enough for our little sister.”

I laugh, but my gaze lingers on the spot where I thought I saw someone. I can’t shake the feeling that there’s someone out there—watching, waiting.

Namjoon’s POV

It’s a rare thing, being able to relax with Y/N. She’s the heart of this family, the light that keeps us all going. I’ve seen the way people look at her—the admiration, the envy. She’s kind and beautiful, yes, but she’s also ours to protect.

As we laugh, I notice her glancing away, her expression changing for just a second. Did she sense something? We’ve shielded her from our business, from the people who would use her kindness against her. But I know the world isn’t as gentle as she is. And that’s exactly why we protect her.

Namjoon: [whispering to Taehyung] “Keep an eye out.”

Taehyung: [nodding, his expression suddenly serious] “Always.”

We might be laughing now, but we’re always ready. Anyone who thinks they can mess with Y/N… well, they’ll have to go through us first.

Taehyung’s POV

I’ve always been the most playful brother, but when it comes to Y/N, everything changes. She’s too precious, too pure for this world. And as much as we joke, all three of us know that she’s vulnerable in ways she doesn’t even realize.

Namjoon gives me a nod, a silent reminder that we’re always on duty. I notice her watching the plaza again, her gaze distant, maybe even a little unsettled.

Taehyung: [leaning in, smiling softly] “Y/N, you know we’re here, right?”

She looks up, her smile returning. “I know, oppa. I just… I guess I’m a little jumpy.”

I laugh, ruffling her hair. “Just remember, you’ve got three of the toughest guys in the city looking out for you.”

But in my heart, I know that if anyone ever tries to hurt her, we won’t stop until they regret the day they even thought about it.

Yoongi’s POV

I watch from the shadows, seeing how the Kims close ranks around her. It’s clear they adore her, protect her—and for a moment, I almost feel a flicker of envy. But she’s the kind of person who deserves protection. I can see it in the way she looks at people, the kindness she radiates. She’s a diamond in a world of coal, and she’s already captured my attention in ways I can’t ignore.

I pull back, watching them leave. Soon enough, she’ll know my world. And when that day comes… she’ll be mine to protect, whether she knows it or not.

As I step back into my car, the faint sound of her laughter stays with me, like an echo I can’t escape. For the first time in a long time, I don’t feel like the predator—I feel like the one being drawn in, captivated by someone I barely know but already feel bound to.
