After the Xianle family's financial problems, Mr. and Mrs. Xianle took their lives. Before, their son, Xie Lian, went to the best school in the country; Haven Private High School. But was transferred to another school after not having the money to go to Haven Private. The school he transferred to was the rival school of Haven Private; Ghoul High School.

Ghoul High was known for its high academics and sports, with a mix of violence. It was labeled as a school for delinquents, despite being basically on equal academic terms with Haven Private. The change from Haven to Ghoul wasn't easy for Xie Lian.

First Day Of School

On his first arrival to Ghoul High School, he saw how strangely nice the outside of the school looked. Considering the rumors he's heard from it.

Going in, he was shown to the office by one of the, surprisingly kind, students. There, he met the principal of the school, who introduced him to the President of the school. "Hello, my name is Ling Wen. I'm the President of Ghoul High School, so I'll be the one showing you around." She looks intimidating! But still, she seems nice.

Ling Wen was a tall slim girl who wore a black and blue striped uniform with a long black skirt.

"Follow me, I'll show you to your first class." She led him around the halls to AP Physics C. Wow, it's really gloomy compared to Haven. Hopefully I will make good friends here. Xie Lian enjoyed making friends, but thought it would be difficult, especially since he's from the rival school. I don't wanna be alone forever.

"After class, meet up with me near the end of this hallway. I'll show you to your next class." Ling Wen left after telling him that. So, Xie Lian was all alone when entering the class. He got many stares on his way in, making it more awkward to find a seat.

The teacher told Xie Lian to introduce himself to the class, "Hi, my name is Xie Lian. I'm a fourth year, and I just transferred from Haven Private." Xie Lian debated on whether he should've added that last information after getting many glares and quiet gasps from his classmates. After the teacher told him to take a seat, he sat in the front, which was the loneliest place in the classroom. Not being able to look back made him feel even more bothered by the sensation of being glared at.

The class started with a quiz, which Xie Lian quickly finished. The teacher had told him that it was fine if he didn't know anything, and that he wouldn't count it in his grade, but Xie Lian usually reviewed the next topics his classes would cover, so the quiz was familiar.

"Ok, class. Today we're going to have a lab. Get your lab partners and take the paper off the main table. All your instructions are on there." Everyone got together with their partners, and didn't invite Xie Lian, as expected. Xie Lian knew nobody would want to do it with him, but seeing everyone talking and working together with someone else made him feel a little sad.

After the lab, the teacher asked "Based on the lab, what is the relationship between the mass of an object and the force required to move it?" A couple of hands went up, and Xie Lian decided to raise his too. Unsurprisingly, he got chosen by the teacher.

"The answer would be based on Newton's second law of motion, which states that force equals mass times acceleration. This means that the greater the mass of an object, the more force is needed to accelerate it. Based off the lab, if you have a mass of 5 kg and want to accelerate it at 2 m/s², you would calculate the force: F = 5 kg * 2 m/s² = 10 Newtons." Xie Lian had a feeling he spoke too much, but was glad when the teacher gave him a smile and explained his answer further.
