Waking up the first thing I notice is my agonizing headache. The second is that it's warm. And I am in a comfortable bed.

Rubbing my head I try to remember what happen. Right, the carriage broke down, I walked to the castle and then? I think someone must have knocked me out. Am I a hostage?

No, hostages are not in such wonderful beds and nobody has a reason to hold me hostage. Sitting up I notice that my clothes have been changed out with a comfortable gown.

I look around the room. The room mostly consists of navy blue with a hint of gold. Outside huge windows I can see a snow storm. The room has a few couches and a lighted fireplace where warmth streams from.

The bed im sitting in is huge with a lot of pillows and thick blankets. On the table next to me is a glas of water, which I drink without hesitation.

The huge door opens and a maid peaks through it.

"E- excuse me miss would you like some tea? Or perhaps some food?"

"Who are you? Where am I? What is going on?"

The maid seems to be a bit unsure why I am asking so many questions, which is idiotic since I got knocked by someone which I will just assume was a guard and got dragged into here.

"Well you are in the duke's bedroom of course."

"And where can I talk to the duke?"

The maid seems to get more and more confused much to my annoyance.

"You know what, forget it I am finding him on my own."

I slip out of the bed noticing that my clothes have changed into a comfortable white nightgown.

Despite the quiet protests of the maid I walk past her, down a hall and turn left hoping this to be the right way.

I pass lots or doors but I ignore them not wasting my time on opening every single one of them and making a scene.

Since this place is pretty extravagant I will asume that the office will have some grand door so I focus on that.

After wandering down the long halls for a while taking turns right and left I meet the end. At the end of the hallway there's a huge door. It's made of ebeny with some gold details.

Without hesitating I swing one door open hoping to find the duke's office behind.

But instead I enter a big no huge library. There are four floors including the one im standing one right now. In the middle of the roof hangs a huge chandelier. Lots of ebeny bookshelfs are filled to the brimb. In a few corners there are billiard green armchairs and sofas with some coffee tables. I must say this is magnificent.

So instead of searching for the duke like I should have I went straight to one of the bookshelves looking through the endless books.

On a table I find a layout of the library and where I can find every genre. I have always been a huge fan of romance. Something about those sweet mindless scenes get me. So I walk of to find myself a good romance book. I still have 28 days left if I only slept a day which I assume.

After finding a good spot I start to read. It's about a crown prince falling in love with a begger. It's pretty basic but just what I need. The last two days have been a hassle and I just need to relax for a second.

After a while the splot starts to get interesting and I engross in the book blurring all my suroundments.

The prince is trying to get the beggers heart, it's so interesting that I miss the door opening and I also miss a guy slipping in. Unfortunatly not for long since almost the first thing he does is yell at me. "Hey woman! Who are you and what are you doing here?!"

Flinching I turn around. Looking at me is a grumpy looking guy a bit older than me. Mabye twenty five? Twenty six? Something like that. He has short, very light blonde hair which his hanging loose. His icy blue eyes glare at me and I can't help but find im beautiful.

"Hello? Are you deaf woman?"

Quickly tho I got pulled back into reality by his annoying insults.

"No I am not deaf."

"Well then why exactly aren't you replying? Who breaks into here and reads?"

"I didn't break in. I woke up here and got lost. I wanted to find to duke but got a bit of track."

Obviously he doesn't believe me but that isn't my problem, or is it? After him being silent for a while which does by the way not stop him from glaring holes into me he speaks.

"Well I suppose I could take you to my father." Father?

Oh I am such an idiot. I could have atleast done some research. The duke is atleast in his late forties most likely in his fifthies or sixties. I am not asking him to marry me. I'd rather die. Why would Henry suggest this to me? I am such a moron.

But now it is to late and I first have to find out who knocked me out and how to get back.

He waves me over and I follow him. Trying to make it less akward I ask some questions.

"So what's your name?" He gives me a weird look. "Why do you want to know my name?" Well that worked just great.

"Well I am Marinetta."

"Marinetta as if in Marinetta Aborn?"

"Yes. I assume you know my father?"

"Indeed." With that the conversation is over and it is all akward again. I decide to just keep quiet. We walk into the exact opposide direction I originaly came throught. Somewhere along the way we pass the room I woke up in but I miss it. I am to busy admiring everything here.

The guy that did not give me his name for some stupid reason stops abruply which makes me bump into him. But thankfully he does not scream at me but simply grumbles.  I look up. It's a door like the one of the library only a bit smaller. So behind this must be the dukes office. I wonder how this will go.
