Saira's POV

I groaned when I saw the clock—8 a.m. already. Last night shouldn't have happened. Why is Grey like this? I kept asking myself the same questions over and over, and it just made me angry. Why did I let her get to me?

I couldn't stop replaying the scene in my head, so I decided to distract myself. Maybe Grey really just loves bullying me, and I won't let her do that anymore. Just because I seem innocent to her doesn't mean she can take advantage of me.

I stood up from the bed and went straight to the shower, trying to shake off the frustration. Thankfully, I got a callback for my dance audition. My appointment is at 10 a.m., so at least I have some time to prepare.

As I walked out of my room, I was relieved to see Grey's door still closed. She wasn't awake yet, which meant I had some peace before I had to face her. I let out a sigh of relief, probably loud enough for the neighbors to hear.

I grabbed a banana and headed out, thankful for the quiet.

When I arrived at the callback location, I walked in and saw JL . Hmm, so he got called back too huh.

"Hi JL!" I greeted him with a smile.

"Uy, Sai! Wow! I'm glad you made it! I wanted to get your number that day, but we didn't get the chance to talk after the first audition," he said with a big grin.

"Haha, yeah, I left before you. When I came out, wala kana! Anyway, here..." I handed him my phone, and we exchanged numbers.

Honestly, JL is gwapo, medyo pasok naman sya sa type ko sya.

"So, Sai... uh, do you maybe want to hang out after our audition?" JL asked, a hopeful look in his eyes.

"Sige, Basta libre hahaha," I teased, a smile creeping onto my face.

"Cool! It's a date then." He winked at me playfully.

"Huh! Huy, ano—" I started to protest, but before I could finish, he was already called to the stage to dance.

I watched him move, and I was honestly impressed by how good he was. I couldn't help but chuckle. This guy just asked me out.

Maybe it's a good idea. After all, Grey's been messing with my head lately. I mean I like guys, I should be with a guy right? and not with Grey... Grey nanaman Sai!

I shook my head, trying to push all distractions aside as I focused on my upcoming turn. When they finally called my name, I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Go, Sai! You got this!" JL cheered from the sidelines, where he stood with the dancers who had already finished their turns.

I smiled back at him and stepped forward to begin my performance. Five minutes of intense dancing later, I heard cheers from the audience, a surge of confidence rushing through me. Maybe I had a shot at this.

Now, we stood before the judges, waiting for our names to be called—those who made it to the Bini concert and those who didn't. My hands were clammy, my body still trembling from the dance. I could barely breathe, but I had to stay focused.

"JL Toreliza." JL's name was called, and I clapped for him, proud of his performance.

"Saira Catacutan." I froze for a second, then felt my heart race. I made it, along with 10 other dancers.

"Saira! We made it!" JL exclaimed, rushing over to give me a quick hug. "We need to celebrate! How about dinner? My treat!"

"Right now!? I need to change, I don't exactly look dinner-ready," I said, feeling a little self-conscious.
