Saira's POV
"Can you please stop calling him that—and stop calling me 'cupcake'!" I snap, scowling at Grey.
She just chuckles. "Relax, cupcake. I'm just curious... so, did you get a second kiss?"
My cheeks turn scarlet at her question. "Grey! Ano ba! Wala ka bang ibang libangan kundi inisin ako?!"
She shrugs, unfazed. "Mhm, Nope!"
I roll my eyes, muttering under my breath, "Why is this elevator taking so long?"
Grey raises an eyebrow, smirking. "Am I really that scary, Sai? Can't wait to get away from me?"
"Yes! Because I don't—"
But before I can finish, the elevator jerks to a sudden stop, throwing both of us off balance. I grab onto the railing as the lights go out.
"Hala!!" I yelp.
"Shit!" Grey mutters under her breath.
Suddenly, the intercom crackles to life. "Apologies, there's a temporary power outage affecting the whole building. We're working to fix the issue right away. It'll take about five to ten minutes."
I groan, leaning back against the wall. "Of course, this would happen now..."
"Yes, finally... some alone time with you." Grey chuckles, her voice low, a teasing edge in it. In the dim emergency lighting, I can just make out her smirk and the glint in her eyes as she watches me.
I narrow my eyes, trying to ignore the butterflies in my stomach. "Please, Grey. We're stuck in an elevator—wag kang ano!"
"Oh, come on, cupcake," she says, leaning a bit closer, her smirk widening. "You don't seem too disappointed."
I scoff, crossing my arms and willing my face not to heat up. "You're dreaming. I'd rather be anywhere else."
"Uh-huh." She tilts her head, her smirk deepening as if she's reading my every thought. "Keep telling yourself that, but I remember how much you enjoyed our moment back at The Bloomings."
"That was a mistake!" I stammered, struggling to find the right words. "I was just... caught up in the situation. A lot happened that night, and—never mind. You wouldn't get it anyway," I mutter, refusing to meet her eyes.
"Oh, I think I get it," she says softly, her voice closer now. The small space feels even smaller, every inch buzzing with her presence. "Maybe you're just afraid to admit you liked it."
"I hate it!" I said, She's now standing in front of me her arms holding the railings trapping me inside. "Grey please" My voice low suddenly felt weak.
"Are you sure?" Grey asked, her voice low and teasing, as she leaned in closer, her breath brushing against my ear. "Then try to get out of this, Sai," she whispered, her arms pressing lightly against mine.
A shiver ran down my spine, the sensation of her breath and the subtle tickle at my ear sending goosebumps across my skin.
Grey's eyes locked onto mine, intense and unwavering. She closed the distance between us, her lips brushing against mine, and this time, I didn't pull away. The moment her lips met mine, all the questions and doubts vanished.
I kissed her back, my breath hitching as the warmth of her lips flooded my senses. A soft moan escaped me, completely involuntary, and I couldn't think. My mind went blank, consumed only by the feeling of her kiss, and it felt so, so good...
