Prologue
Jayla has always loved her mother and wanted to make her proud of her when she grew up. That all changed once she became Queen and realized all the chaos her mother unleashed on all the other realms and the shifters and humans within them. She killed them just to have more power. Jayla wanted no part of that.
Now she wants to be nothing like her mother but as much as she tries not to be she feels as if it's a losing battle. She is fighting to save others is what she has told others as well as herself but with all the lives taken in this senseless fight, she feels more like her mother than ever before.
Now here she is without a mother and a father trying to right all the wrongs that happened way before she was ever Queen but somehow, she's blamed for it all. Jayla feels as if everything is falling apart. Can anyone ever trust her again? Can she overcome her past and prove to everyone she is not her mother? She wants peace but will anyone follow her to the new realm so they can all try and start over?
