You've been best friends with Seungmin since you were practically kids. You grew up together. You were childhood best friends. You did everything together every single day as kids.

Your parents always adored you two together. You didn't have any other friends growing up. You just had Seungmin. Even as kids, he teased you a lot even as you grew older too.

In high school you two were still the bestest of friends. You were one of the greatest duos out there. That's what everyone told you anyway. Unfortunately when you turned seventeen, you were moving away. When you told Seungmin he didn't believe you.

Only because you were always messing around with him. A year before you joked about moving and he actually believed it. But you weren't actually moving. Now you are. When he went over to your house and saw all the boxes with stuff packed in them, he knew then you weren't joking.

Deep down you knew even if he didn't wanna admit it, he was gonna miss you. You made your last days with him the best. You hung out everyday even after school. You'd even stay out late with him which your parents didn't mind, only because they knew you wanted to spend your last moments with your best friend.

Moving day came quickly. You were sad the whole day.

Seungmin helped you and your parents put your boxes into the car. Your family was moving all the way to America. You knew you wouldn't see Seungmin again.

That's how you put it and every time he'd hit you for saying it like that. You knew you'd stay in contact with him, but you hated that you'd actually never see him in person again.

Your parents were waiting in the car as you were saying your final goodbyes to Seungmin. You hugged him tight and told him if he didn't hug you back, you'd keep hugging him tighter and tighter.

He hugged you back and you laughed, trying to hold back your tears. When you pulled apart from the hug your tears finally spilled out of your eyes. He messed up your hair and also made you stumble.

"Don't cry. You don't look good while you cry." He told you, trying to make you laugh.

You let out a soft laugh, wiping your tears away. You hugged him one last time before getting into the car. As your dad drove off, you looked out the window waving goodbye to Seungmin. That was the last time you saw him. You were both seventeen still in high school.

You kept in contact with Seungmin. You talked everyday. You'd call all the time and talk about school. Seungmin would give you updates about how school was going ever since you left.

Even on the days you were both busy you'd text or call. When Seungmin wasn't talking with you, his mother was. His mother had always loved you. You were like a daughter to her ever since you and Seungmin became friends when you were kids.

She told you she thought you were destined for her son. She said it was fate. Your parents, who didn't normally go in for that kind of thing, said it would be perfect, as long as you had at least a few loves before settling down.

When you finished high school you immediately started college. Even though you'd like to experience love, you wanted to focus on school. It was more important to you anyway. You were curious if Seungmin had ever experienced love while you were away.

He was handsome, you could admit that. But even before you moved away, he never looked at any girls at school besides you. Like he wasn't interested at all.

During your college life you got extremely busy. You were so busy that you stopped contacting Seungmin. Though it didn't bother him at first, it started after almost a whole year of not talking to you.

He wondered if you forgot about him. You weren't doing it on purpose. If you did remember that you hadn't talked to him, you'd forget again because of all the work you were doing in college.

You put all your focus and hard work into college. Having experienced no love at all in your college years didn't bother you. You hadn't really been thinking about love at all. The only thing you were now thinking about was your best friend, Seungmin.

You wondered what he had been up to after all this time. Did he still miss you? Was he mad at you for suddenly not talking to him anymore?

After a long talk with your parents after your college graduation, you were moving back home. Your home was where Seungmin was. You were older and you knew your life with him now would be different.

You'd been driving for almost an hour. Or at least that's how it felt. You drove through the city slowly. You didn't mind it. You loved this drive, this moment. Seeing this city again after being away for so long.

As you got closer and closer to Seungmin's house, you felt a familiar flutter in your chest. When you finally pulled up to the house, Seungmin was sitting out on the front porch with an unfamiliar guy. The house was large and gray and white. Just like you remembered.

You parked your car and got out of it. Seungmin didn't even notice you walk up at first. But then he did. He really did. The unfamiliar guy gave you a quick glance. Seungmin had never even looked at you like that before.

Not once. Seungmin, on the other hand, did a double take. He looked like he didn't recognize you. All of this happened in the span of about three seconds.

Seungmin couldn't believe his eyes. "Y/n, is that really you?"

He smiled at you. That smile that you have always loved even though he was insecure about it. Seungmin hugged you, but a faraway kind of hug. He was careful to not get too close. He had just gotten a haircut. He smelled like how you remembered.

The unfamiliar guy came up behind Seungmin after he let you go. You stared at the unfamiliar guy since he was still staring at you. He was quite handsome and tall.

"So, you're Y/n. Seungmin's best friend." The guy said.

Seungmin looked at the guy then back at you. "Y/n, this is Hyunjin. He's my friend. Hyunjin, this is Y/n."

You hold out your hand to shake Hyunjin. You shake hands with him as you smile at him.

"Seungmin's told me a lot about you. But you look like nothing he's described you as." Hyunjin says. Seungmin nudges him.

"Oh." That kind of stung you.

"Oh, I didn't mean it like that. I mean, you're way prettier than I thought." Hyunjin says, noticing the way you reacted.

"What he means is that you've also changed a lot. I've shown him pictures of us from when we were kids and up until when we were in high school." Seungmin intervenes.

"Well, you've also changed Seungmin. I barely recognize you. You're not the guy I used to know." You smile.

"What brings you back? Are you visiting?" Seungmin asks.

You shake your head. "Not visiting. I'm back. Back for good."

"Like you moved back?" Hyunjin asks. You nod.

"Seriously? Why now? Did your parents send you back home?" Seungmin snickers.

You scoff. "As if. Maybe I wanted to move back because I missed you."

"That's one way to reunite us back together."

Seeing Seungmin again, having him look at you like that, you felt like you needed a second to breathe. He changed. A lot. In a good way too. Now you were very curious if he really had a girlfriend now. You were so sure he did. Everything was the same, but not.
