/A/N so i don't remember this episode all to well, and tbh idk where carl was half the time?? So uh forgive me as i make stuff up 😖/

-Carls POV-
Im sitting in the barn Daryl found to cover from the rain. It's the next morning and im playing with Judith while i feed her the last can of baby food.

Maggie and Sasha walk in with a strange man, i pick Judith up and place her on my hip, one hand holding her weight, the other over my gun.

Judith babbles on, playing with my hair draping over my ears. I listen to Maggie talk about the strange man. My father, Rick, is listening but is wary, i am too, fearing he is the next governor.

The strange man is Aaron. He comes from a community called Alexandria and is asking us to join, he rambles about how he's not lying, and to prove himself he grabs a yellow envelope. My father takes the envelope caustically, opening it and looking at the first picture. I cant see it, im behind everyone holding my sister, but from Aarons words, it's a picture of the walls around.

He explains everything, it's kind of annoying. Apparently my dad agrees and shuts him up.

After all the discussions we decide to see if hes telling the truth. We are told theres 2 cars by some trees, so Michonne, Maggie, and Glenn go to check.

As we wait, my dad takes Judith, swaying around keeping her calm. She decides to start bawling, she is hungry. She had the last baby food we had a few hours ago and it wasn't enough.

Aaron starts to panic, looking around searching for holes, im assuming to see walkers. He looks at Rick, and tells hims he has an apple sauce, which we knew about after going through the bag.

"Is it safe?" My dad scowls at him, he glances at the apple sauce and back to Aaron.

"Yes. I wouldn't harm your baby." Aaron sounds truthful, while being slightly offended he would assume such things about himself.

I watch my dad take a spoonful, and shove it into Aarons face, "Prove it."

"Oh god no.. I hate apple sauce!" Aaron scrunches his nose. Rick doesn't move. Instead pushing the spoon closer, Aaron looks up, rolling his eyes slightly, before taking a small mouthful proving its safe.

My dad looks at the spoon and finishes whats left, walking to the apple sauce and feeds Judith.

The rest come back, confirming Aarons story. We decide we go, for the sake of Judith.

Im in the back with Aaron as my dad drives, he took the route Aaron said not to, and we realize we should've listened. Walkers are all around, too many to drive through. Michonne gets out and starts slicing them around, trying to clear a path, when suddenly we see a flare shoot up. Aaron panics, it honestly scares me. He acts like his master plan to kidnap us all didn't work and he's trying to retreat.

We don't let him run off, so he makes us drive him to it, where we find the other half of the group and a man named Eric. Im not as worried anymore as it seemed the flare was over Erics ankle.

We continue our adventure to Alexandria.

_______________

The gates pulled back, sweat beading down my forehead. Im hot as balls but i ignore it, it's normal to me. I haven't had ac in years now.

We all walk in. Daryl acting like an animal, Rick being confident but wary, Glenn and Maggie are holding hands, Michonne glaring at everyone giving dirty looks. Im in the middle, head down hiding.

I take a glance around me, everyone watching us, they act like we are wild animals, being tamed for the zoo. They look scared, but curious.

Why are they acting like that..?

I pull my hat down a smidge, feeling embarrassed at the stares. Im a confident person, but it's been so long since I've had this normal, judgy, neighborhood feel.

Im getting self conscious but that doesn't bother me to much, theres worse then people staring. I just avoid eye contact and walk.

I can feel someone staring, im not sure why i decide to follow the gaze of this one persons stares, but i did. Looking at this tall house, seeing a dirty blonde looking down at me, i cant see his face to well, meaning i cant read his thoughts. It bugs me a bit.

I look back down, following the steps of my group.

I don't pay attention to when we stop, and i bump into Michonne. She turns and laughs at me, but doesn't say anything. Looking up i can see the short, older lady talking to us, thanking us for coming yada yada, i don't listen. I look around at this place. it feels normal, and i don't like it. It feels like a fairy tale, this place id dream about coming to, but now im in it, and im itching to get out.

Looking around i see lines of houses that look almost identical, it's off putting. They are to clean, to fixed up. No paint chipping, no broken doors or hand rails and it's just.. perfect. The yards are taken care of as well.

As im analyzing the houses my eyes are drawn back to the blondes house, he's still at the window, but instead of standing he is leaning with his hands to his chin.

I watch for a minute, maybe two. He just sits there. I wish i could see his face, but i think he notices my staring because he hurries out of view.

I start to watch the older lady talk now.

She goes through the group and interviews us all, while recording. I think i was last, but i wasn't really paying attention to who went in and who didn't. I had to bring Judith with me, so i bounced her in my leg as i spoke. Not revealing any details that she could use against us.

I stay as quiet as i can.
