Forever Young

Why does everyone always say
That they want to be forever young?
No, my darling, that's not the case,
So please, for a second, hold your tongue.

I would like to say something,
Bring you ear near.
This is very important,
So listen closely, dear.

Forever young is non-existent,
Everyone has to age.
Forever young is just a thought,
Never to be brought out of its cage.

Don't focus on that thought
That will never come true,
Just let it slip from your hands,
And simply be you.

I want you to always have that bit
Of childish nature in your heart.
Then you will truly
Be a piece of art.
