Party

I arrived at the party, and could hear the loud music around the block. The house was on an outlook over the city, and was huge.

I jumped out of the car and went inside, pulling my short dress down so my ass isn't showing.

I spot josh in a corner and he runs up to me, rapping his arms around my waist and resting his head on my shoulder.

"I missed you." he says into my hair.

"you literally saw me a few hours ago, how can you have missed me already." I replied.

"You look really beautiful ellie." He whispered in my ear.

God he called me beautiful all the time, but why does it mean so much more to me now?

"Hey guys, are we interrupting something?" I start to blush and look up, seeing it's some of the guys from Josh's football team.

One of the quarterbacks, Darren, says to Josh, " Let go of your girlfriend and let's go get a drink."

"I am not his girlfriend." I say, rolling my eyes.

Josh let go of me and looked a little hurt by what I had said, which had me confused. Why would that make him upset, It's not like he liked me like that anyway?

"If you're not dating him, then why don't you come with me and i'll show you and that little red dress of yours a good time." some guy listening to our conversation said, smirking at me.

"Fuck off bro she's not interested, and if you go near her, you'll get your fucking ass beat." Josh said angrily. He put  his arms around my shoulders and pulled me close to him. The butterflies were creeping back into my stomach again.

When the guy walked away, he let go of me and said in a low tone, "If any of these guys touch you, I will have them killed." I smiled at him before he gave me a kiss on the forehead and walked away with Darren. He was always so protective of me. I always thought it was because he thought of me as a little sister, but now i'm wishing and hoping that maybe he was protective of me because he wanted me to himself, and that maybe he actually liked me. Stupid I thought.

I found lauren in some crowded hallway making out with a guy neither of us knew, and dragged her with me to the living room to dance.

"I think we need shots!" I screamed over the loud music.

"Yesss Bitch, I agree one hundo percent!" she yelled.

We left the crowded dance floor and to the kitchen. I grab a bottle of smirnoff and was about to pour a shot when I caught Josh talking to a girl. He laughed at something she said and put his arm around her shoulder. I shot lauren a look and she fumed with anger.

"I'm going to fucking kill him." she said through gritted teeth.
