"Hyungie won't let me hurt myself, but I can ruin everyone else."

The car was silent except for the sound of rain hitting the windows. The atmosphere felt tense and thick, as the officer sat quietly in the passenger seat, almost like a shadow. He was a big man, strong and broad-shouldered, and his wet uniform seemed to add to his intimidating presence.
His face was hard to read, cold, and he occasionally looked at Jungkook and the others, but he focused most on Jimin, who had his head resting on Jungkook's shoulder.
J-Hope drove, his hands tight on the steering wheel, eyes flicking nervously to the rearview mirror. The rain pelted down harder, blurring the road ahead. His jaw was clenched, but he remained focused, trying to steady his breathing as the weight of the situation settled around him.
Jungkook's leg pressed slightly into Jimin's, the warmth between them offering a small comfort against the chill of the rain. But that comfort was quickly being replaced by irritation as Jungkook's gaze kept flicking back to the officer, his fingers tightening around Jimin's hand.
The silence was thick, almost suffocating, until Taehyung broke it with his usual dramatic flair, looking up from where he cradled the baby girl. "So, Kook," Taehyung said, voice raised in a mock serious tone, "if we didn't 'rescue' the baby from the ritual, what exactly would you call it? You know, the whole... fleeing scene we had?"
Jungkook rolled his eyes, shifting slightly in his seat to face Taehyung, his leg brushing against Jimin's as he moved. "Don't start with that," he muttered, his voice a mix of exhaustion and exasperation. "You know exactly what happened. We rescued her. It wasn't a rescue rescue, but we sure as hell weren't leaving her there with those... those people!"
Taehyung leaned forward dramatically, crossing his arms as if pondering the situation. "Hmm, so it's more of a half-rescue then? A... rescue with a little bit of... kidnapping on the side?"
Jungkook glared at him, shaking his head, his patience thinning. "Taehyung, stop trying to make it worse than it is. We didn't kidnap anyone. You saw what they were doing to her. If we hadn't taken her, they would've-" Jungkook's voice caught for a moment as his anger simmered, but he forced it down, glancing back at the officer.
The officer, who had remained eerily silent, suddenly spoke up, his deep voice cutting through the conversation. "If you didn't kidnap her, then why didn't you contact the authorities immediately? Just curious."
Jungkook's jaw clenched, his gaze narrowing at the officer, but before he could answer, Taehyung piped up, his voice dripping with faux innocence. "We were just... trying to protect the baby! You know, trying to do the right thing. Right, Kook?"
Jungkook shot him a glare, his patience slipping even more. "Yeah, sure. We just missed the police station on our way out of the tribal village, didn't we?" His tone was laced with sarcasm, eyes flashing toward Taehyung.
The officer's eyes flicked to Jungkook, noting the tension, but his expression remained stern. "I'll believe that when I see some evidence of this 'tribal' rescue mission," he said coldly. "But until then, I think you should all come down to the station. We'll see if your story checks out."
Jungkook's nostrils flared with irritation, but before he could respond, a small voice broke through the tension-Jimin's, soft and desperate. "Hyungie," he whispered, his head still resting against Jungkook's shoulder. His voice sounded strained, and his grip on Jungkook's hand tightened.
Jungkook glanced down at him, brow furrowed in confusion. "What is it?" he asked, his tone softening despite the rising frustration.
Jimin shifted slightly, the discomfort clear on his face. "I... I need to pee," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the rain.
