In Jimin's defense, it wasn't his fault.
None of it was his fault. How could he know that his boss would just kiss him like that? And even though he may have been tempted and returned the kiss, he got back to his senses quickly.
Walking inside the building, his eyes are kept down and avoiding everyone. He's paranoid. It's almost as if everyone can see that he had kissed Mr Jeon during the weekend. He walks towards the elevator in a hurry.
"MIN!" Taehyung's voice shouts as the taller half runs to catch up to Jimin. The smaller puts on a smile.
"Hey, Tae."
"You just disappeared that night. What happened after Mr. Jeon dragged you out? Why did he even drag you out?"
"Uh... well... hey, what happened to that guy? Jin? Is it?" The smaller is quick to derail the topic, hoping his friend doesn't notice him avoiding Mr Jeon's question.
"Oh Jin, he's okay. We're talking. He was such a gentleman and drove me home that day. But... that's not important. Answer me. What happened between you and the devil boss, as you call him?" Tae asks, his eyes reading the expression on Jimin's friends. They might not have known each other for all their lives, but Jimin was a pretty open book and easy to read.
Taehyung suddenly gasps loudly.
"YOU FUCKED?!"
Jimin covers the taller's mouth and slaps his arm. He seems offended.
"Tae, no. Are you crazy? He's my boss. I was just too drunk, and he drove me home."
"Whose home?" Taehyung asks, raising his eyebrows playfully.
"Mine." The smaller lies, looking away.
"Hmm... he looks like the type that would drive you to his house and take care of you until morning comes." Tae remarks. The smaller just clears his throat, realizing that Tae was actually right to assume that.
"Well, he's not."
"Minnie? Are you sure? Like... are you absolutely sure that nothing happened? Because I'm looking at you right now, and you look kinda guilty." Tae says, his eyes scanning Jimin's face.
"Oh look, it's your floor. See you at lunch, friend." Jimin mutters while literally pushing Taehyung out of the elevator. The taller is confused and somewhat suspicious, but he leaves, mentally noting to himself that he'd ask Jimin about it again during lunch.
To Jimin's despair, the elevator reaches the 15th floor quicker than he wanted. As it opens, it feels like his feet are glued to the floor. He finds it hard to walk in, but he drags his feet, headed towards his desk.
"Okay, Park Jimin. Nothing happened. It was a mistake... and he's forgotten about it now. It's all gonna be fine." The smaller mumbles to himself, it's all things that he wish were true.
The fact is... something did happen.
As always, first makes Mr. Jeon's coffee, just the way he likes it. He walks to his office and busts in without even knocking. He stops on his tracks and gasps. He hadn't expected to see Mr Jeon already here. Isn't it too early?
Their eyes lock, and at that moment, the memories of what had happened hit them. Jimin feels a certain heat traveling to his cheeks while a certain twisting happens in his stomach. He doesn't know how to explain it. What is that feeling? With a deep breath in and out, he calms himself and walks farther into the office.
"Good morning, Sir. Your coffee." The smaller says, his voice a steady whisper as he fails to even maintain contact with his boss.
"Thanks. Did you manage to finish the report?" Mr Jeon asks, his eyes focused more on the screen than the beauty in front of him. He was scared, scared that if he looked at him. He wouldn't stop himself.
