Oscar's POV
I've been in love with one of my best friends for two years now... Then he kisses me at a party. I thought we were going to live happily ever after, but then he disappears. And so does Carmen.
I groan and lean my head down on the cafeteria table. "Izzy... Where did they go?" I whine.
"I don't know." She huffs.
It's been three days without him. "Am I pathetic?" I look at her.
"Maybe a little." She grins. "But everyone is that way in a new relationship."
"But neither of them are responding." I point out.
"True." She sighs. "I guess all we can do is wait."
"I hate waiting." I groan.
"Get used to it." She laughs. "Come on, we still have half a day left."
"I really don't want to." I pout.
"Well, I can't ditch." She sighs. "If you want to, I won't tattle, but I can't."
"I think I'm going to do some snooping." I grin.
"Stay out of trouble." She groans. "But update me when you can."
"Yes, boss." I mock salute her as she leaves the cafeteria for class.
I'm definitely not going. I leave the cafeteria, but go to the corner of the building with no camera and jump the fence. The best plan is to grab what I need from my broken home and go to Jasper's house, see if I can find anything.
I finish packing my duffle of things I need and want from my room. I don't want to come back here anyways. Not with the way my dad hits me. Then, just as I approach the door, there's a knock.
I open it to find Jasper standing there with a shorter, extremely cute boy. This boy has the audacity to hang on Jasper.
He's MINE. This boy had better learn his place. Just as I'm about to launch into a verbal attack on him, Jasper kisses me deeply.
"Oh, thank god you're home!" He says in relief. "I had a feeling, but I'm so glad you're home."
"Yeah, I mean... I was just grabbing stuff and then I was going to go to your house to see if I could find you." I mumble. Then I remember the boy. "Who the fuck is this?" I glare at him.
"This is Peter." Jasper grins at him. The boy hadn't taken his eyes off me.
"Okay." I cross my arms. "Why is he here? Why are you here?"
"We need to leave." Jasper says quietly. He holds his hand out for me to take it.
"Give me answers, Jasper." I glare at him. "You can't just disappear for three days, show up with some random guy, and smile at me!" I shout.
"I'm... I'm not random." Peter says quietly.
"You're random to me!" I shout in his face. "What the fuck is going on, Jasper?! Tell me, now!" I demand, getting in his face.
The next thing I know, Peter is grasping my shirt and pulling me into a kiss with him. Even though I'm shocked, I return the kiss, dropping my duffle bag, and pulling him into me.
When we break for air, he looks at me expectantly. "I'm not random, Oscar."
"What is happening?" I ask softly.
"Come on." Jasper grabs my bag. "We'll explain in the car."
"Okay." I follow them to the car and climb in the backseat. "So... What is happening here?"
