Time for some homewrecking

"He loves me." Bdubs promised.

"If he loved you, why didn't he give you a life?"

"He- he cares!" He yelled, adamant about it. He turned and fled, a tear pricking at his eye as he searched for Etho. Suddenly a sharp pain shot through his back, he collapsed to the floor, surrounded by his own blood and with an arrow in his back.

Etho ran around, trying to find Bdubs. Finally he heard the familiar voice he was looking for, accompanied by a couple others.

"Impulse and I are in love." Bdubs told him when he approached the small group of Bdubs, Impulse, Scar, and Martyn.

"Yea." Impulse confirmed with a smile.

"Now is this a happy marriage or is this like a well I did the best I could in my life, this is what I'm going to have to settle with?" He asked the soulbound pair. When Impulse confirmed that they were in fact 'an extremely happy soulbound couple', he nodded and after a bit more talking he set off.

Bdubs dragged Impulse over to the board of soulmates he had made.

"We're going to be the homewreckers." He told his soulbound and after a moment of explanation Impulse agreed and Bdubs went through the list of soulmates with him to decide who they wanted to ally with.

"So Etho and Joel. Y'know well, I- I want Etho. Sorry Joel." He said and Impulse agreed, adding on the fact that Joel had been stealing from them previously.

"So we plant seeds of doubt against Joel. The rest we'll just play by ear, we'll see." Bdubs told him and Impulse nodded, ready to go forward with the plan.

"Etho by the way, Joel just swung by earlier umm." Bdubs started.

"He say good things about me?" Etho asked him.

"Not really." Impulse replied at the same time Bdubs did.

"Ok well we promised not to say, we can't say anything unfortunately. What we can say is keep your guard up, with your alliance with your soulmate." He told Etho, Impulse backing him up at every possibility and chance he got to.

"Dude, don't tell me these things. Well I mean do tell me these things but-" Etho started but was cut off by Bdubs explaining that he was telling him those things because he was his friend but that in the sake of honour he was unable to say anything else.

Etho told the two that he appreciated the information and Bdubs then tried to change the subject, not wanting to dwell on it any longer and make it obvious that they were lying. Etho took damage and immediately jumped off of the small ledge next to them, taking a small amount of fall damage in return.

"Every time he takes damage I have to take damage so he learns." He explained and the soulbound couple laughed.

"Impulse is the luckiest person in the world. He pillars up to escape the warden right into a giant pocket of iron." Etho told them all and they started laughing at his insane luck. After a while of chatter and sharing stories Etho pulled Joel aside.

"Joel, we need to have a talk." He said sternly.

"Why?" Joel asked, confused at his soulbound's words.

"I've been hearing things, I think they're just rumours but I don't know. Apparently you've been saying things about me to Bdubs and Impulse." He started.

"I- I haven't even seen Bdubs! Would someone with fis on feir chest say anyfing bad about Eefo?" Joel asked, gesturing to his shirt which had a picture of Etho's face on as he stared right at Bdubs who had been listening in on their conversation.

"Eefo, don't even listen to fese guys, why would you trust fese guys?" He asked Etho, jumping back onto his own horse. "Fey are just rumours."

"That's what I thought." Etho agreed.

"It's fine, I didn't want to be part of this dispute, I didn't want this happening in front of me." Bdubs explained.

"This is why we were keeping our mouths shut." Impulse said in response to the situation.

"Eefo, y'know what I fink fis is? I fink fey're projecting, projecting fe problems fey have in fey're own relationship on us." Joel told his soulmate but Impulse and Bdubs were quick to deny it.

"They're not happy with their partners so they try to make everyone else less happy with theirs."Etho added, picking up what Joel was putting down.

"Oh he's good, he's good." Impulse whispered to his partner.

"Impulse. Look at Bdubs right now, that's what he looks like on a green life, when he gets to red life there's going to be nothing left of that face." Etho said, gesturing to all of the bruises and markings on his face.

"He'll still be beautiful to me." Impulse replied without a heartbeat of hesitation and Bdubs quickly thanked him, a smile on his face.

"There'll be nothing left, trust me. Get out while you still can, all I'm saying." Etho told him, attempting to plant seeds of doubt just like Bdubs and Impulse had done before.

"These two belong together in the bed of lies that they make." Impulse told Bdubs.

"Impulse, we just spent the whole day together and you're going to do me like that?" Etho asked.

"I know, I know, that's why I'm so heartbroken over this." He replied.

"I'm not saying you're the bad one in the relationship Impulse, I'm saying he is." Etho told him while Bdubs whispered to him, telling him not to fall for it.
