i walked into my office, grabbing a bottle of water from the mini fridge. my shoes clicked against the flooring, and i collapsed into her large chair behind my desk.

a heavy sigh escaped my lips as i closed my eyes for a moment, rubbing her temples. the past few days had been more hectic than usual, but i was just glad to get a break, even if just for a little while. i leaned back in my chair, taking a sip from the water.

there was a knock on the door, and it opened, revealing my manager, mia, who stood in the doorway. mia and i had been working together for years, and she was a force to be reckoned with. she had a hand on her hip and a slightly exasperated look on her face, suggesting that she may have something important to discuss with me.

mia folded her arms across her chest, her expression growing serious. "so, i've been asking for a new single for a while now," she said, eyeing me. "the label wants something fresh, something to keep the hype up before your next album release. and yet...i still have nothing on my desk."

great. talk about pressure. i let out a small sigh, running a hand through my hair. "i'm working on it," i replied, feeling a surge of stress.

mia raised an eyebrow. "i'm sure you are." she said, clearly unconvinced. "but i need results. we need results. if you keep stalling, the label might start looking for someone else who can deliver."

that was the last thing i needed to hear. i sat up straighter in my chair, feeling a sense of urgency wash over me. "i know," i said, my voice growing more strained, "i get it, i've been working hard. i just...i've hit a creative block, you know?"

mia didn't look very sympathetic. "everyone has creative blocks." she said matter-of-factly. "but you're a professional. you've been doing this for a long time, and you know how this industry works. we need something to keep you relevant."
