Juno had two options: go to Texas with Emily, Derek, and Spencer or stay in New Orleans with Aaron, Gideon, and JJ. While the thought of going to Texas was pleasing, spending more time with Spencer was the complete opposite. So, that’s how she ended up in a bar with JJ and William Lamontagne Jr.

"You always drink while you're still on the clock?" JJ looked up from her file, watching as the man beside her took a sip of his beer. Juno was seated between the two, in a rather awkward position that made her feel like she was their child.

"This is New Orleans, honey. It’s a cultural thing." Will looked past Juno, staring right at the beautiful blonde at her side. She didn’t blame him; she would also like to spend an unholy amount of time just staring at JJ, but she had something to do.

"Me, have an alcohol?" She looked between the two, really stepping into the role of their angsty teen daughter.

Will chuckled to himself while JJ gave the girl a quick glare. "No." That answer didn’t seem to stop her because she had already placed her pink straw in the man’s beer, taking a sip. "Now excuse me while I hustle a few guys in pool," she said as she slid off her chair. But before she could walk away, JJ called her name.

"Are you sure you don't wanna stay here?" she asked, watching Juno remove the straw from her drink and toss it into the recycling bin.

"Not really," the dark-haired girl shrugged. "You do not wanna see me after one beer, plus I don't need you two to babysit me." She held the glass with both hands, taking a large gulp of her drink—or Will’s drink.

"You're more bright than you look," Will turned in his seat. He and JJ had been tasked by Aaron to keep an eye on Juno, which she guessed everyone on the team was doing. She was starting to grow sick of being treated like a child. She needed to prove to them and her brother that she deserved her spot on the team, just like everyone else.

"That would mean so much more if I actually understood half of it," Juno gave him a cheeky smile before turning and walking away. It wasn’t hard to find a pool table full of drunk guys who all were too smitten with her to actually bring their A-game. And after about two games of her winning and them buying her drinks, she found herself sitting on the pool table.

Now, Juno knew it wasn’t smart to drink while on the clock, especially not to the point where she was now laying on the pool table. But things don’t always go the way you hope. At least she made a few bucks when JJ approached her table.

"Hey, you." The blonde climbed on the table with ease, lying down beside Juno as she faced the girl. Juno was staring up at the ceiling, a stolen vape in her hand as she took a drag.

"Hey, Chewie." She had her eyes shut but knew who was next to her. She preferred JJ’s company over the men she’d been drinking with all night. At least the blonde didn’t want to get her into bed.

"Morgan called." JJ was removing a mint from her bag when Juno turned to her, happy to take it. She hummed, telling JJ to keep talking as she placed the treat on her tongue.

"He says the unsub is a woman." Her words were soft, but Juno could still hear them over the music. She paused, her cheeks sucked in as she opened her mouth to speak.

"What a genius." Juno wanted to say something else, but that was what came out. She cursed herself for having that third beer.

The blonde beside her simply sighed. "I know it's hard being the new girl, especially in the BAU," she started. She hadn’t really been in Juno’s place. She was the media liaison, and the only person who could probably understand Juno was gone, so she didn’t really have a lot of advice to give.
