The episode opens with a sweeping view of the Monastery of Spinjitzu in the evening, a faint glow illuminating the courtyard where the ninja are recovering from a recent battle against the Forbidden Five. The camera pans across bruised and battered faces as they tend to their injuries.

[Cut to: Monastery Courtyard]

Kai: grimacing as he holds his bruised arm Ugh. Those Forbidden Five guys are tougher than we thought. I swear they just kept getting stronger the more we hit them.

Nya: wrapping a bandage around Kai's arm They know how to fight as a unit, too. They split us up, played to each of our weaknesses...

Sora: re-adjusting her gear with a sigh They're targeting dragons for a reason. They're not just random attacks.

Lloyd: serious tone, glancing toward the mountains in the distance If they keep draining dragon energy, they'll get too powerful to stop. We're missing something here.

Garmadon: steps in from the shadows, crossing his arms They're feeding. Power is addictive, and they need more to fully restore themselves. If we don't stop them, they'll consume all the dragons.

[Cut to: Arin, sitting on the monastery steps, looking frustrated]

Arin stares at his hands, clenching them into fists, feeling a sense of inadequacy. The other ninja are all focused on their roles, while he still feels unsure about his purpose.

Arin: whispering to himself What's the point of being a ninja if I can't even keep up? Everyone has these incredible powers, and I just... don't.

Garmadon approaches, noticing Arin's troubled expression. He sits down beside him.

Garmadon: calmly Power comes in many forms, Arin. Some lie dormant, waiting for the right moment to reveal themselves.

Arin: sighing But what if I'm just... ordinary? No powers, no skills like the others...

Garmadon: smiling faintly Chaos doesn't announce itself. It erupts when it's needed.

Arin looks puzzled, but before he can respond, his pet dragon, Riyu, lets out a distressed sound, pacing around him with agitation.

Arin: alarmed Riyu? What's wrong, buddy?

Riyu's eyes flash as he projects an image into Arin's mind—a vision of mountain dragons being attacked by the Forbidden Five.

Arin: standing up suddenly The mountain dragons... They're in trouble! The Forbidden Five are attacking them right now!

Lloyd: Then we don't have time to waste. Everyone, gear up. We move out—now!

The nesting grounds are a series of rocky cliffs and caves, with dragons huddled around, some already weakened and unable to defend themselves. In the center of the chaos, the Forbidden Five—Drix, Kur, Rox, and Zarkt—are drawing energy from the dragons, each of them surrounded by a dark, glowing aura.

Kai: So much for a surprise attack...

Lloyd: We can't let them take any more dragon energy. This ends now.

The ninja leap into the fray, attacking the Forbidden Five in an explosive battle.

[Cut to: Arin's POV]

Arin sees Nya struggling against Kur, whose dark shadow tendrils are starting to overpower her. On the other side, Kai's flames are being smothered by Rox, who absorbs the heat and fuses shatterspin with attack spells. The rest of the team is similarly locked down, each facing a Forbidden Five member.

Arin: Come on, Arin... you have to do something. You can't just sit here and watch.

He takes a deep breath and charges forward, picking a target: Zarkt, the corrosive-element fighter who wields a wicked blade dripping with a strange, green energy.
