😼 Author's POV:

The late morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting warm, golden hues across the room as Saint slowly blinked his eyes open. He stretched out, reaching for the other side of the bed only to find it empty. Perth? Though he wasn't beside him, the lingering scent of Perth's cologne brought an instant smile to Saint's face.

Sitting up with a yawn, he glanced at the clock, which showed it was already past 10 AM. Still feeling hazy from sleep, Saint slipped out of bed, his feet sinking into the thick, plush carpet. Throwing on a light sweater, he padded towards the door, pushing it open and stepping out of the room.

When he reached the garden outside the cottage, his breath caught at the sight: Perth stood there, bathed in the warm, golden light of early morning, surrounded by dew-kissed flowers that swayed gently in the breeze. Sensing he was being watched, Perth turned around, his face lighting up with pure affection.

"Good morning, my beautiful queen," Perth greeted him, pulling him into a gentle hug, his voice warm.

Saint smiled, circling his arms around Perth. "Good morning, Pin. Why didn't you wake me?"

"You looked so peaceful while sleeping; I couldn't bring myself to wake you," Perth replied.

Saint chuckled, tightening his embrace around Perth's waist. "You spoil me too much, you know?"

"Maybe, " Perth shrugged, a tender gleam in his eye as he continued, "but I have a surprise for you today."

Saint raised an eyebrow, curiosity sparking as he took a step back to look at Perth's face. "A surprise, hmm? I'm intrigued."

Taking Saint's hand, Perth pressed a gentle kiss to his knuckles. "Trust me, it'll be worth it."

Saint's heart melted, a faint blush rising to his cheeks. He tried to look away but couldn't hide his smile. "Okay, Pin," he murmured, attempting to feign nonchalance.

"Good," Perth replied, pressing a light kiss to his forehead. "Now, go get ready and have a quick breakfast. This will be a long trip."

---

Within minutes, they were packed and on the road, the familiar hum of the car engine blending with their shared laughter as they swapped stories of past trips, remembered pranks, and the little memories that formed the mosaic of their years together.

After hours of winding roads and shared glances, they arrived at a secluded garden. Saint's breath caught in his chest as he recognized the place immediately, even after all these years.

It was the same garden he had visited as a bachelor long ago. Memories washed over him as he looked around, taking in the paradise before him-filled with colorful blooms, winding paths, and tall trees casting dappled shadows over the soft grass.

"This place...," Saint began, his voice soft with wonder.

"Do you remember this place?" Perth asked, watching Saint's reaction with a fond smile. "I first saw you here, and from that day on, I was yours."

Saint nodded, his voice full of warmth. "I could never forget. This place... it felt like ours from the very start."

"It felt right to come back here now, with you as my better half," Perth said as they began to walk together, hands entwined.

"Do you remember the first time we sat here?" Perth asked, nostalgia lacing his voice as he took Saint's hand, caressing it with a gentleness that made Saint's heart skip.
