yeonjun and i are complete opposites of each other. he likes basketball, i dont, i have good grades, he of course, doesnt.
i dont even know how we got to be friends. im not really close to him but i guess we're just friends yk? he's my neighbor and i grew a connection to him, just neighbor wise.
today, he decided to set up a trip with me to a arcade to just have some fun since we both aren't doing much besides laying at home.
i put on my shoes and do some touch ups to my outfit, i hear a knock on the front door. it seems like jake so i said goodbye to my mother and opened the door to see the guy himself, choi yeonjun.
"hi yeonjun, are you ready?" i ask him, smiling
"yes i sure am, lets go before it gets busy" he says to me.
we walk together to his car, i walk to the passenger seat and buckle my seatbelt while he gets in the drivers seat. we start driving off to the park. i notice him giving me small glances once in a while, cute
— AT THE AMUSMENT PARK
the whole park isn't too busy or too empty, its just right since it was close to sunset.
"do you want to go to games first? lets play basketball. i bet ill beat ya" he chuckles
"i wanna go on the carousel though" i say looking up to him.
"fine, only because you want to but promise that we'll play basketball after, right y/n?"
i nod, his voice is honestly so soothing. i love how he pronounces my name in that handsome tone.
we walk to the carousel and get on. after it finished we went to go play basketball.
"im going to beat you y/n!!" he says sarcastically.
"no your not! i am destined to win!" i say proudly
he shoots a couple shots, i cheer him on as he continues. in the end, he made only 3.
next it was my turn, i was nervous and destined to win so i could beat him in the thing he's best at. he cheers me on while i try.
"go y/n!" he cheers as i shoot a shot. i make it in and jump in excitement. he always claps for me and smiles
after shooting a bit more, i managed to beat him. 3-4! i was so proud of myself. i told yeonjun to get some fried oreos and that it was on me.
he did and didn't want any but i still fed him some as a thank you. he clearly enjoyed it but didnt want to ruin my deliciousness.
"y/n, do you want to head to the beach after? i brought towels we could lay on for fun." he asks me.
"sure!" i agree.
"okay, ill be back to get the stuff. meet me at the entrance okay?"
"okay!" i agree.
yeonjun left to grab the stuff and after finishing my fried oreos, i left to the beach. it was a dark and clear now and pretty busy.
— AT THE BEACH
"there you are, lets go y/n! i set up a nice place for us the view the waves."
he grabs my hand and pulls me to the spot. it was perfect enough to see the beautiful shore. waves coming and going, i could say it was the perfect place.
"uhm- y/n.. i got these for you." he says nervously pulling a bouquet of flowers
"aww yeonjun! you didnt have too. i love them already" i smile
"its my pleasure. here, lets sit down and watch the waves."
we both sit down and i look at the waves, he looks at me instead.
"wow, its so pretty at night." i tell.
"i know something prettier though." yeonjun says.
"what? whats prettier then the beach at night-?"
"you, y/n."
"really, i never thought that." i say looking back at the waves.
"y/n uh- i have been meaning to tell you something, for a while... now."
"what is it? you can tell me anything jun."
"i love you y/n. not as just friends but more. i want to spend the rest of my life with you as a couple. i-"
i kiss him. he holds my waist as we kiss on the shore. the moon glowing on us as we kiss.
i breaks the kiss, "i've always loved you too yeonjun, i guess we do have something in common." i laugh
"our love for one and other." he smiles
