002. the birthday incident.

november 23rd, 1984. the night of sophia's 17th birthday. the night that changed these teens life's forever...

" Hurry up slowpoke! " exclaimed sophia, dropping her stuff of by her bike, and running towards the ocean, feeling the deep, cold water raise from beneath her, as she let out a gasp of excitement, letting the waves wash her out further into the ocean.

"ok ok, I'm coming ! " giggled the blonde haired boy, making his way over to her.

As ben had ran after her, he picked her up out of the water, which had made them both laugh excessively, like hyenas hunting their prey, as the waves washed them under the crashing water, which made them bop their heads up, laughing, as the freezing cold water submerged them in further. 

Sophia and Benj had been bestfriends since they were 3. If you were to ask anyone, they were kinda like the 2nd lot of the " Cassandra and Xander " of the friend group, weather they were in opposing friend groups or not. The only problem is that, Sophia was a clerk , and benjamin was a rawl, and if you were in that retched town for most of your life, you would've heard all of the rumors about the Rawls starting a curse that had been overshadowing the town for generations to come, causing people to go missing every 10 years, but it was all just a rumor, right..? the teens that were clerks and Rawls were always opposed to one another, but not these teens. they always had a strong, arguably unbreakable bond, they were their ' found families '. the teens never believed the rumors, minus 4 of them, the core 4 - Julianna, Cassandra, Liam and Xander, mainly because of their parents perviews. everyone else in campwood had always believed these rumors, but no one did anything to stop it, they just pit the blame onto the future generations to come. after benj's father died, and sophia's parents divorced, those 2 decided to finally fulfil their dreams, and get together, and their going 3 years strong, or are they..?

" happy 17th birthday soph... " said benj, as he lent in for a kiss, which made sophie blush ALOT, as both lips touched at once. they both giggled, as sophia's body weight, shifted further towards him, as he softly grabbed around her stomach, kissing more, under the moonlit sky. as Sophia pulled away, he looked at her , with such shock in his eyes, as to say ' did I do something wrong ? '

" thanks Ben..! thanks for all of this, this is great.. " she said, as her arms wrapped around his shoulders, as they kissed once more delightfully, until benj then pulled away this time, which cause soph to have a shocked look plastered on her face.

"whats wrong..? " said the brunette haired girl, with a worried look spread across her face, fillied with more worrisome than usual.

"shit... fuck-shit! what's the time?!"

"uh, i-i don't know- why?"

"shit..!" said the boy, quickly shifting his direction and perview towards the shore, swimming quickly, as the brunette haired girl was situated where she was, until she realised benj was in a rush, which is when she followed shortly after.

once they had both hopped out of the pristine blue ocean, benj had ran towards their belongings, looking through his bags, trying to find his pager, which helped his mom keep in contact with him. 

"shit... its 11.30pm.. I was meant to be home 30 minutes ago." said the boy, sat there in the sand, holding his head in his hands, until soph had hugged him softly. 

"hey, its okay... I can get my dad to pick us up..?" sophia exclaimed.

"no, no... its fine. we'll just have to leave now." benj bounced back with.

"oh- i-... okay.." said the girl, deeply hurt, but understanding.

as they had both packed up their stuff, she had noticed benj was upset, so in order to make him happy, she tried to make him laugh.
